To all who called, emailed and facilitated the SOPA online protest - thanks! At 9:00am I saw occupies message, entered my info, and got a call. I Answered and was directed to Marco Rubio's office, a lady answered, and I said 'Tell Marco I don't want him to support SOPA'. She said, 'OK'. At 11:30am, on the NY times site front page, I read 'Support for Internet Bill Wanes as Protests Spread' - Marco Rubio, a co-sponsor of SOPA, renounced the bill! Of course, it wasn't me, but, damnit, focusing on an issue gets results! Thanks for the corral - keep it up

Strategy, This is a big clue to how movements now have new found power. We can be heard and we NOW make a difference at the speed of light. We should harness this energy to push for change. This is positive change since WE the PEOPLE can have a voice we never had before.

Peace

Agreed, these tactics work.

This is where we can focus even more energy. The planet is awake. Now we need to start thinking and following reason as a guide. Critical thinking. The information is at our fingertips. We can get it, and fast.

Peace

My wife and I, stayed off the net for the day.

Our own personal protest. I was proud of her, as it was badge day on Pogo, and she's addicted.....................:)

And I was told we shouldn't bother, right on this site by the cleverest troll here. I disagreed. It's important to use your own mind and not always listen to "established wisdom."

Oh, Gypsy King, just breath.

I make sure to do that at least several times a day, when I'm upwind of the Republicans.

Well, try to every minute, it helps:) Love your posts, but, to your point, I am not a republican. Maybe you are too quick to pass judgement oh gypsy king...dcosts.com - thats my site

I wasn't implying you were a Republican, just a lame attempt at a joke. I was very pleased at the (at least temporary success) of this experiment in internet solidarity; very pleased indeed!

Agreed, this experiment was a success! Direct questions should get direct answers from us. OWS should apply these tactics weekly!
