The court stopped FL from counting votes while they decided, their reasoning was that if the count showed a different winner than their decision determined then that President would be undermined.
They deliberated for a few weeks, then decided that Gore was correct that a state wide recount was in order, but since it could not be completed in time to declare a winner by the required the date, the needs of the nation over-ruled the actual law, this is the only time the court can do this.
So to recap, the court said “stop counting the votes” then they said “there is not enough time to count the votes”.
And half of America said I would rather win than support democracy, and the other half was too afraid of being called “sore loserman” to fight for democracy and the media said democracy is not really very important.
Very true. It was a sad day in America and then Bush took us down the toilet with a pro-war agenda to attack a bunch of countries which lead to even more corruption.
Good morning trevor, thanks for stopping by, I like to break things down to simple terms, I don't think I have to lie, the thing is there is no power in telling truth, if you can get people to believe a lie, any lie, even a white lie, then you take power from them, but the truth they can get that anywhere if they look.
