Im starting to wonder if thing was set up for the sakes of creating a fake revolution to keep the people occupied.

All over the planet they are telling their leaders to get the hell out. Its not that we arent really pushing it that hard, but it is actually DISCOURAGED at ows. Its not on the agenda.

Whoever is the one that decided that these huge political ralies "arent political" and decided that simply protesting against the banks is enough, with all the brains and energy at OWS, should be exposed.

This is a great oppportunity for some real change to appear, but something behind the scenes is holding it back.

wtf?

The 99% Declaration was taken off the 'official' website - this website- over a month ago.

It calls for a National General Assembly with elected delegates from every congressional district.

The unelected people behind the scenes at NYCGA who admin this website, have yet to endorse the NGA. The de-facto leaders should endorse the NGA as per the 99% Declaration so there is a process to divest themselves of their untenable oligarchical position. They would and should welcome this relief.

I demand the NYCGA publicly endorse the National General Assembly as per the working group on the 99% Declaration, on or before 17DEC11

OCCUPY NYCGA

NGA NOW all roads lead to Philadelphia July 4th 2012

You saw what happened when they removed the leader in Egypt. Trying to remove leaders is all nice and well, but what are you going to replace it with?

It's easier to create a new system parallel to the existing one and slowly making the old one obsolete then to try and fight it heads on. And i think that's what is slowly starting to happen. Very slowly though. But slow is good. Changing things to rapid will only cause chaos.

At least that's how i like to see it.

I think our system is fine, as long as the 99% is paying attention. And they arent, thats why we are in this mess.

People get the government they deserve.

1% of NYC coming down and supporting would be 80,000. The people just dont care. The apathy of the 99% is your biggest enemy. Because without them, the meanest guy wins. And you guys arent exactly ass kicking bad asses (no offense).

There is a reason why so many people are still apathetic, for a big part it is because it seems like they don't have any power. Voting doesn't seem to have any positive effect, and there don't seem to be many other ways for the average person to have any control over the decisions that are being made.

Maybe you think the system is fine. But for the majority of humans all over the world, it's not working at all or very poorly. It's most likely not working to your benefit either.

And i think movements like M15, occupy and the arab spring are showing us that we can have power, that our voice does matter.

@ hchc : Reflect yourself upon The Deep Paradox inherent within : "Is ows Fake?" and then "This is a great oppportunity for some real change to appear ..." !!

The "something behind the scenes ... holding it back." is a combination of Lack Of Socio-Economic and Political Analysis ; Inertia ; Miseducation ; Constant MSM Propaganda and alas attitudes like yours !!!

per ardua ad astra ...~~~*

Well arent you intellegent. So whats your take, instead of attacking mine?

I think it is useful to target WallSt, not partisan politics. That makes it a movement out of the box, outside contained bipartisan politics.

There are so many who agree with you. Is there a reason why people who feel this way cannot organize themselves? I think "whoever decided" is the key here. Is everyone waiting to be told what to do by some "official"?

I think its a set up. Im not sure, but it seems that the people arent mad enough to protest, but they are there.

Until the chants are "Down the D and R Parties" then nothing will come of any of this.
