From your link;

The United States is a Republic not a Democracy. So if you feel like your government is ignoring you, now you know why. In a republic, It matters very little what we say or what we want because we are not in charge. This is not a real democracy. The sooner we learn this, the sooner we can begin to make real progress. Civil disobedience, protesting, marching and rioting won’t change anything or the fact that we are a republic. This is why the American people feel so hopeless and disillusioned about real change and their future. They don't see a way out. So in summary, we need to transition our republic to a real democracy. We don't have to settle for the illusion of democracy when we can have the real thing and the benefits that come with it. And we certainly don't have to live like this anymore - like slaves to a revolving two party dictatorship.

So many ideas from so many geniuses.
Seriously -
A tiny percent of Americans know about them.
Given a year or two of education, maybe 20% could understand them
If half of them are persuaded, you have 10%

Seriously - that just ain't gonna work

How about a plan that 74%-80% of Americans understand and
agree on?
[ ABC poll + PFAW poll ]
A constitutional amendment that ends corporate personhood, reverses citizens united, and reverses buckly -
which ALREADY has overwhelming support
would terminate the influence of GREED

by completely destroying the link between money influencing the government and government decisions, America will be ours again

The tp locked up our entire govenment with 20%-30% support
I do not see how a movement with 74% support can fail

With no money from the medical / insurance industry we will have medicare for all
With no money from privatization leeches, the people would control the military, the schools, the prisons.
The rich and corporations will pay thier fair share
Government spending on infrastructure would put America to work.

SERIOUSLY- If such an amendment was passed, can you tell me ANYTHING that we want to do to improve America that would not be possible when we are no longer drowning in GREED?

I know you mean well. It's conveniant to use small measures but our problems are huge. We are at a point where noting but an all out Hell Mary will save us from collapse. Yes, most people are too ignorant to know how to help themselves. The only thing you can do at this point is to appeal to their common sense.

U.S. Citizens Read “Common Sense 3.1” at ( http://revolution2.osixs.org )

Non U.S. Citizens Read “Common Sense 3.2” at ( http://SaveTheWorldNow.osixs.org )

That's all we can do. If you want to go for 5 yards when we need a 90 yard touch down then do so.

The reaper, pain and death will wake the masses up from this stupor. That is unfortunate. But ignorance has price - a terrible price.

"Then shut up and do something"

I'm so sick of it I did do something. I wrote and posted 2 songs about it:

I don't know what else to do. Voting doesn't help and the Occupy movement in my area died.

Look at the following story. It demonstrates how to end the rule of Wall Street:

On July 5th 1932, in the middle of the Great Depression, the Austrian town of Wörgl introduced a complementary currency. Wörgl was in trouble and was prepared to try anything. Of its population of 4,500, a total of 1,500 people were without a job and 200 families were penniless. The mayor Michael Unterguggenberger had a long list of projects he wanted to accomplish, but there was hardly any money to carry them out. These projects included paving roads, streetlights, extending water distribution across the whole town, and planting trees along the streets.

Rather than spending the 40,000 Austrian schillings in the town’s coffers to start these projects off, he deposited them in a local savings bank as a guarantee to back the issue of a type of complimentary currency known as scrip money. The Wörgl currency required a monthly stamp to be stuck on all the circulating notes for them to remain valid, amounting 1% of the each note’s value. The money raised was used to run a soup kitchen that fed 220 families.

Because nobody wanted to pay the holding tax, everyone receiving the notes would spend them as fast as possible. The 40,000 schilling deposit allowed anyone to exchange scrip for 98 per cent of its value in schillings but this offer was rarely taken up. Of all the business in town, only the railway station and the post office refused to accept the local money. Over the 13-month period the project ran, the council not only carried out all the intended works projects, but also built new houses, a reservoir, a ski jump and a bridge.

The key to its success was the fast circulation of the scrip money within the local economy, 14 times higher than the Schilling. This in turn increased trade, creating extra employment. At the time of the project, unemployment in Wörgl dropped while it rose in the rest of Austria. Six neighbouring villages copied the system successfully. The French Prime Minister, Eduoard Dalladier, made a special visit to see the 'miracle of Wörgl'. In January 1933, the project was replicated in the neighbouring city of Kirchbuhl, and in June 1933, Unterguggenburger addressed a meeting with representatives from 170 different towns and villages. Two hundred Austrian townships were interested in adopting the idea. At this point the central bank panicked and decided to assert its monopoly rights by banning complementary currencies [+].

If the experiment had not been banned, everybody would be using scrip money today. The example shows that scrip money can end the grip of banks, large corporations and centralised governments over the destiny of ordinary people. This money combined with a ban on charging interest creates a more efficient financial system and can help to solve many problems the world is facing today. It can work without a large organisation. One small but committed community like Wörgl can be enough to change the world completely and forever.

Are you kidding? Our problems go way beyond wall street people. Wall Street is just the flash point for the many things that are wrong with this country and the planet. If we think small nothing will be accomplished.

I am fighting the cause but most people are not. You can have "democracy" but power is money is a power than can corrupt any political system.

The real cause of the problems lies in the nature of our money system in which interest on money is charged. Interest causes wealth to concentrate as the poor pay interest to the rich. Interest can therefore be seen as a tax on poverty to the benefit of the rich. The following example demonstrates this and also that interest on money is unsustainable and leads to crisis:

If someone brought a 1/10 oz gold coin to the bank in the year 1 AD, and the money remained there until the year 2000 AD, collecting a yearly interest of 4%, the amount of gold in the account would have been 3.6 * 10^31 kilogrammes of gold weighing 6,000,000 times the complete mass of the Earth.

If interest is charged on a limited scale or over a short timeframe then those problems do not surface. Interest is an insidious process. Over time it is unescapable that it reduces large numbers of people to a state of servitude to the money lenders. This is a long term development that transcends the life span of a human. Interest is the main reason why a number of civilisations have failed and why Western civilisation is about to fail. Therefore all interest is usury and the current financial system is a usury financial system. Interest is also the cause of inflation as more and more money has to be created to keep the economy going.

You need a power tool to enforce change: http://www.naturalmoney.org/naturalmoneybomb.html

You need social and political reforms, to avoid new elites from taking over: http://www.naturalmoney.org/buildfuture.html#sore

The cornerstone of the political reforms is a referendum law so politicians can be overruled any time and copying best practices because reinventing things is a waste of time.

You need a new financial system: http://www.naturalmoney.org/finsectordesign.html
