Forum Post: Invitation to help Beta Test a networking site built for the PEOPLE

Hello -

I live in a suburb of Madison, WI. After the Koch Brothers took over my state government, I decided to start an on-line activist networking site built for the PEOPLE, rather than for profit. I am a database developer by profession, so developing an on-line "place of our own" for those interested in rebuilding a Democracy of the People, by the People and for the People seemed like a piece of the puzzle I could bring to the table.

I am inviting all of you to participate in the beta testing stages of WE are the Democracy. This site is intended as a place for anyone involved in the recent PEOPLE's uprisings. It isn't only for Occupy participants, but also for those involved in uprisings that started last spring in places like my home state of WI to any individual or group working to bring our government back to the PEOPLE. All of us need to connect, we are allies -and the sooner we build a "place of our own" on the internet the better our chances of creating a sustained, long-term and effective Movement with many branches and voices.
