Now you can be violently arrested for taking pictures of protests.

Hhmmmm do you think ( and this is a terrible thought for a dairy state ) that those capitol police are lactose intolerant? Could go towards explaining the excessive show of hostility and force ( they were irritated by exposure to dairy already and just snapped ? ). Like instead of a roid rage they had a cheese rage?

Now it is interesting that you would say both or cowards. As a coward when pushed into a situation that is highly charged is gonna flood their system with adrenalin, also being a coward one tends to imagine the worst happening to them self and if forced to act physically and they can't run - well they can get very ugly and out of control. Needless to say this makes for a poor career choice to be a police officer.
Now the other one - hating and loving at the same time - now there is another real dilemma. As the person is torn and then how is the hate and or the love felt and how are they directed. Needless to say - this can be a whole lot more complex then just figuring simple cowardice ( that also may be an unfair statement - cowardice as being simple ). Anyway I think there are nearly daily instances when a good cop may experience that love hate reaction during the normal course of a day - perhaps several times a day fairly often. That feeling of being torn can be pretty maddening.
Anyway interesting comment.

Hedges made an interesting point a while ago, saying that theres no way the cops are going to go with the state when push comes to shove, because they arent making much these days either, and obviously are being abused.
He then stated thats why things like NDAA needed to be passed, because they know this.
We protested at city hall about proposed firefighter cuts, they really appreciated it. The police know their pensions are next, and I think thats when we are going to see them finally say fuck it, Im not just "following orders" anymore.
