Sold out working Americans with there silence and refusal to stand up to corporate Republicans.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

You are such a worthless piece of shit.

[-] 1 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

Thank you for bumping this timely and relevant post.

[-] 1 points by ThunderclapNewman (1083) from Nanty Glo, PA 12 years ago

There's plenty of blame to go 'round for both major political parties. We're so Pavlovian by now that when anything we perceive as positive is passed into law, we salivate and begin jumping up and down.

Wag the dog!

[-] 0 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

All blame shall be rightfully shifted and focused on the Republicans.

If any Democrat has ever done anything questionable, Republicans surely made them do it.

Pelosi, Frank and many others are only super wealthy because of this fact.

Our system really isn't broken, it works great. Get rid of Republicans and everything will be fine.

[-] -1 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

My ass is so sore from being wagged far too vigorously, I think I'll have it docked or quit "hiding" fire hydrants so my bi-party friends can park free, from time to time.

Surely you're not suggesting Democrats have ever lied to the people, performed any disservice to the people or ever done anything which reflects any lack of integrity.

I'm sure that if they ever did, Republicans made them do it. They all have insidious mind control beams emanating from their diamond pupil'd eye balls.

I've watched them make Obama sign all kinds of stuff he promised he would never do. The bastards are just plain scary.

[-] 2 points by ThunderclapNewman (1083) from Nanty Glo, PA 12 years ago

Hoar, (may I call you Hoar?), one of the goals of this movement is to change how politics works. We want to do this because we believe the political process is broken. Badly broken. That would mean BOTH Democratic and Republican Parties are grossly disfunctional.

Occupy (collectively) neither favors nor endorses any one party or individual poitician over another. Individuals within Occupy may favor a particular party or office holder/candidate and post things that advocate for that position and that is certainly that individual's right. You most likely are already aware of this, Hoar.

The deck is stacked against us and our freedoms and is being moreso almostly weekly, which only serves to strengthen our resolve to make changes and make them using non-violent methods. I hope you can channel your anger and frustration into a positive force for the kinds of changes we as a nation must have if we are to reinvigorate the American Dream. Be the change you seek, Hoar.

[-] 0 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

Please call me Hoar, it makes me goose pimply hawt and I'm having a paw because of it. Thank you.

It surely seems to me that this forum presents as the DNC and is rife with their, and bi-party rhetoric, in general. Years ago, I had resigned to the idea that the bi-party scheme was only for lemmings who stubbornly refused to seek the truth about what's going on and why.

However, after being indoctrinated here, it appears the consensus is that republicans are indeed the root cause. Silly me, I actually believed the root cause went back many years with all force mejure proceedings hidden in plain sight for all to see.

The evidence of it is clearly visible to all with open eyes, yet, the overwhelming majority still has no interest in doing anything other than tweaking the current system owned by old world money as a result of our now dead republic failing to meet it's financial obligations.

Very simple, as a matter of fact just as the numerous, well documented attacks on our deceased republic have been with no attempt to veil the perps.

Nah, the corporate governance system cannot be repaired or band-aided.

It must be disavowed, with those supporting it left on their own, and our original democratic-republic restored.

I'm all for completely revamping the system as far as representative per head count and intelligently amend our now meaningless, and defunct, constitution.

Nothing short of this will fix anything.

Study what Ross Perot suggested as a cure, he was much closer to right than any of the asinine cures I've seen suggested here.

He publicly called out congress and promised to destroy both halls, replacing them with electronic town squares even...........

Hoar, (is that a type of frost, a slam of another poster or an occupation? LOL) I appreciate your being fed up with the status quo and wanting to tear things down and start over. I don't happen to agree with it, though in my salad days I might well have been standing right next to you.

I think of the government as a bus speeding down the road, loaded with people and suitcases. If we were to suddenly just stop dead, all of those people would be flung toward the front and be gravely injured or killed. I don't want to see that happen. I realize sometimes things like that are unavoidable, but let's try and slow the bus down a little more gradually and minimize passeger casualties. The bus drivers are in for some big trouble, though. They're going to jail for wreckless endangerment and vehicular manslaughter.

[-] 0 points by TheMisfit (48) 12 years ago

The choice is stop the bus suddenly and incur some injuries, or allow it to hurtle off of the cliff and kill everyone. Slowing down only delays the inevitable if the bus doesn't stop, or at least change course.

[-] 1 points by ThunderclapNewman (1083) from Nanty Glo, PA 12 years ago

Perhaps your vision is better than mine. Perhaps not. We'll see what happens to the buses passengers soon enough. If I try to prevent you from slamming on the brakes, don't take it personally ok? And vice versa.

[-] 0 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

Band-aids are just that and it's clear that most people believe it cannot be completely repaired correctly without harming the majority who have their futures invested in it.

That couldn't be any further from the truth.

[-] 1 points by ThunderclapNewman (1083) from Nanty Glo, PA 12 years ago

We'll have to agree to disagree, I suppose.

Nice chatting with you, though.

[-] -3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

Very nice very restrained. I am not usually that patient with a troll.

But again very well said.

I agree - we are not about a political party - we are about the governmental process - The one that is = Of The People By The People For The People.

It does not matter who is in office as long as they are working in support of The People for the health and benefit of ALL.

Trolls just absolutely hate this. So they try to twist and distort. This is their mission to support the corruption that they are and the corruption that hires them.

[-] 2 points by ThunderclapNewman (1083) from Nanty Glo, PA 12 years ago

I really do understand the desire of some trolls to try to disrupt and create wedge issues that might divide OWS - I don't at all agree with the tactic, but I "get it."

I think that some are afraid of the changes that will come as a direct result of what Occupy does, and so they post here and say some of the most awful and vile things imaginable. I don't find this thread to be in that catagory, and so I took a couple of minutes and tried to explain my position regarding Republicans and Democrats and their failures and over-reaches. If a thread, subject is something so over the top that it's rediculous on it's face, I won't even bother posting in it. Answering or commenting in such a thread is a waste of time and it only encourages the trolls, IMO.

[+] -4 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

I agree. I just saw your comment thread had a look and just had to stop by.

These post's should be read as a sign saying please do not feed the trolls.

And so I will stop feeding this particular troll on this particular post.

[-] -1 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

Why don't you grow the fcuk up with your juvenile labeling and get a clue about what has gone bad wrong with this nation, long before your parents were even a thought or twinkle in anyone's eyes?

I've read plenty of your rambling, so close, but, light years away.

[-] -3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

scuse me - But I do believe you labeled yourself for all to see:

So perhaps you should think about growing-up.

If the shoe fits Then - wear it troll.

correct me if im wrong, but didnt both democrats and republicans raise taxes??? None of them took a look at the government waste, nor made cuts.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

taxes were cut during the bush admin particularly for the wealthy

those cuts to the wealthy are still in place under the the democrat/republican congress

[-] 0 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

Silly, Republicans made them do it. They are the problem and DEMOCRATS are the answer. Don't you see how hard Obama and Con Gress is trying to fix everything Republicans make them screw up?

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

not provide public healthcare with a democratic house senate and president

not vote against the Iraq war

not close Guantamino bay

not make government transparent

not stop dropping bombs

not talk about raising taxes

[-] 1 points by ANewAge (1) from Damascus, PA 12 years ago

They didn't provide public health care?

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

nope

[-] 0 points by ANewAge (1) from Damascus, PA 12 years ago

But they have mandated everyone to buy health insurance.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

yep hand the peoples money to private companies

[Removed]

[-] 1 points by JuanFenito (847) 12 years ago
  • They didn't sign the NDAA

  • They didn't continue to keep taxes low for the rich

  • They didn't keep the war in Iraq and Afghanistan going three years longer

  • They didn't spend money like berserk monkeys like the Republicans did

  • They didn't leave the education system in a despicable mess like it is in now, they changed it but the Repukes changed it back

  • They didn't take any corruption money from credit card companies

  • They didn't expand the warrantless wiretapping program. I wouldn't have cared if they had, because I trust Democrats not to abuse power because they never do.

[-] 0 points by RedSkyMorning (220) 12 years ago

You're right. I didn't see any of that stuff either, because I also didn't see them sign a bill to make it a felony to see them do anything, rolling back half a millenium of civil liberties, based in English common law.

[+] -4 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

My answer to all that is, IF YOU'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG, you shouldn't have ANY concern about who may or may not be invading your privacy?

Can I get an Amen?

[-] 0 points by JuanFenito (847) 12 years ago

You're right, unless it is a Republican doing the searching.

About eleventeen hunnert tousend should do the trick.

[-] 0 points by JuanFenito (847) 12 years ago

Alright, I am sorry

Please don't imply that I am anti-woman because I suggested you might not be telling the truth.

I won't do it again. Solidarity.

[-] 0 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

Ok, now that we've made progress, I'll fess up and admit that I have been known to lie. My right boob and cookie box, never lie. Just a little FYI.

[-] -2 points by Carlitini99 (-167) 12 years ago

None of these things ever happened and any similarities to real events is a coincidence.

Build Football field at Gitmo for towelhead,

Hire a terrorist defender for Attorney General,

Apologize for America to Muslim nations,

Finally proud of America for the 1st time.

Push through unpopular health care legislation.

have the ugliest Speaker of the House ever.

Ignore Black Panthers harassing voters.

Give illegals in state tuition.

Go after Police in NY working on stopping terrorism.

Supporting partial birth abortions,

Sanctuary Cities,

Weiner photos.

Start the housing crisis by forcing banks to make bad loans. Pulling out of Iraq.

Planning to pull out of Afganistan

Ignoring Corzine MF Global scandal

[-] 1 points by HoarFriday (27) 12 years ago

Hey, are the Japanese, Muslims?

This didn't happen either.
