Energy Secretary Chu Admits Administration OK with High Gas Prices

COMMENTARY | President Barack Obama's Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu uttered the kind of Washington gaffe that consists of telling the truth when inconvenient. According to Politico, Chu admitted to a House committee that the administration is not interested in lowering gas prices.

Chu, along with the Obama administration, regards the spike in gas prices as a feature rather than a bug. High gas prices provide an incentive for alternate energy technology, a priority for the White House, and a decrease in reliance on oil for energy.

No White House Recession: Obama’s 454 Staffers Cost Taxpayers $37,121,463 (yearly for many many many years to come..... not counting his numerous Czars)

They don't care that rising fuel costs make everything else go up except working people's wages.

Yeah and then he takes it back today. He now says that lowering gas prices has been his goal since day one... yeah right... gotta love politicians when they realize that they let the truth slip from their lips. They try to bury it under 50 feet of bullshit.

These Drones on this Forum are mostly Obamabots themselves and regardless of how much more money they have to pay in cost of living increases (because of Obama) they will support that POS POTUS to the end. It's the Jim Jones Koolaid syndrome.

well, i think it's more to the fact that the Republicans have a senile old man, a religious zealot, a corporate princeling and a fat history professor as their contenders. Sadly, the senile old man is the best candidate the Republicans could come up with. With choices like that, you kinda wonder if the Republican establishment threw the competition.

Actually you're wrong and I'll stand by my post.

That wasn't a "gaffe". It was rare honesty.
