they should break up the large corporate farms allowing families to create smaller, highly diverse allotments. In this way they would be creating meaningful work ensuring much higher production and diversity. A family can run a 1.7 acre farm, actually improving the soil year by year with zero inputs from external sources such as fertilizer, pesticide etc. When farms get bigger, inputs increase. This way one farm of a thousand acres with limited output benefiting a company and needing expensive, toxic inputs becomes a livelihood for a thousand families with a much higher and diverse output. In this later scenario outputs would actually exceed the company structured mega farms even after the families involved had taken their share.

I'm not sure how we can legally force a farm company to "divest".
certainly, owners will take care of the land better than contractors.
If I own 20,000 acres and the limit is 200 acres, where are the 99 other farming families coming from ?
Has any country ever done this ?

We can limit farm subsides to a reasonable number
Originally used as "crop insurance", it is now used to boost profits.
I do not know much about this, but I might limit the subsidy to $100,000/year/farm

Indentured servitude, coercion, criminal prosecution, penal intimidation, Cons like ~ need ~ their prostitutes cowering and afraid to get their money's worth. Cons made their prostitution legally & religiously exempt decades ago and, as always, pulled up the ladder with zeal.
