then so can we, but funny thing I've noticed, occupiers don't seem to be present in this forum any longer (as indicated by the fact that virtually all of the "best comments of the day" are a bunch of little political campaign commercials), oh well >>>>
The hippies were more fun. Less anger and more love.
People get the wrong idea when they see film like Kent State, they think it was all anger and violence. Furthest from the truth.
If you walked by a protest, you were likely to be given a flower. Well, that was those days.
They were also more hip to influencing culture. You saw them all over in TV shows, advertising, the music business, and hollywood. OWS has shown that they don't like all that kind of stuff. OWS protested t-shirts, movies, and any manner that they considered exploitive of their movement. It's a different time
Hippies wanted to be left alone. So if they did accomplish anything, as they can take some righteous credit for civil rights support for example, it probably has to do with them not demanding other people's money as much as the ows crowd.

Dunno,it had a lot of hair,smelled REAL bad,had some kind of multicolored covering and crawled back into a VW van to bleed out. Not sure but I thought I heard "I don't live today" coming from the van.
