Forum Post: I got an email

I get emails from all kinds of celebrity politicians. I even get emails from Barack Obama! I suppose I can call him Barack 'cause he refers me by my first name, and he signs his emails "Barack." The other day I got an email from "Mitt"; Mitt Romney that is. I suppose I can call him Mitt for the same reason I can call Barack "Barack". Anyway, Mitt was telling me he needed some money, and asked if I could give him some. I wrote back " Hey Mitt, what gives? Why are you asking me for money? You're the multi-millionaire, not me."

I signed a sierra club petition to stop fraking and received an email from boehners office thanking me for my concern about the issues. It then went on about "job killing healthcare" and his american energy initiative. Which involves fracking. Go figure.

Wow! That sort of makes me think about why my phone keeps ringing every ten minutes in the afternoon. I signed a few of those petitions myself.

His name is "Barack", not "Barak". Pretty sure he can spell his own first name correctly.

[-] 1 points by Shule (2638) 11 years ago

Thanks for the catch. Fixed it. Just goes to show how closely I really read his mails...

We call that email spam, as in Stoopid Pointless Annoying Message.

[-] 2 points by Shule (2638) 11 years ago

Aw Gee, For a moment there I thought I was important.

A girl I know got a "reply" from an email she sent to Oprah.

I tried to explain that it was an automated response from a bot.

Got the bum's rush from her. Poor kid.

[-] 1 points by Shule (2638) 11 years ago

But why is Mitt asking for money? I thought he already has it all?

obama has more money in contributions including overseas ones which are illegal.

http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/08/claim-obama-campaign-illegally-solicited-foreign-donors-via-social-media-website/2/

Apparently the Obama campaign does NOT "go to great lengths" at all! In fact, it pays (or should be paying) millions-MILLIONS of dollars in fees because it does NOT go to even the normal lengths expected!

Now-why would they choose to PAY fees of up to $7 million dollars-money that COULD have been put into their campaign instead-unless there was something far more profitable going on that makes 7 million dollars pale in comparison?

Or are they just lazy/stupid/wasteful? You pick.

Then how do you put up with yourself? You push dem lie all the time so is it just on when you lie? The truth is both parties are full of shit, but your parties shit is ok?

[-] -2 points by alva (-442) 11 years ago

you dear are the liar. robert roche , bundler for barry takes in money from china for barry. if you hate liars than you must really hate the liar -in-chief,.....................barry. information on donations ( donors)under 200$ does not have to be taken. since august , barry has taken in about $140,000,000 of these donations. in the 2008 cycle it was over 500 mil.

dear potty mouth puppy, you can donate less than $200 to the barry compaign without it being tracked. thats a fact. the security coed on a credit card is not asked for. thats the tracking device. on the other hand it you want to purchase obama things, mugs, tee shirts etc. the security code on your credit card is asked for. the msm will never do any investigative story thats shows anything about obama. they have alwys covered( lied) for him.

Hello alva my friend. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here. The Republicans have been very very good to Iran. First, they sell us illegal arms in the 80's. Then they so kindly took it upon themselves to dispose of our greatest foe, Saddam Hussein. Now we transfer millions of US dollar to Republican SuperPac. How you say? Dark money. Yes. Iran love the SuperPac. Thank you very much. Stupid American.

I also wonder why Barak is always asking me for money too.

My point is both politicians are getting so much money from special interests that the five dollars we might give them don't mean poop. We're not even on the radar screen. Romney said some truth when he mentioned 47% of the people don't mean anything to him, and Obama just ain't saying it.

[-] -1 points by alva (-442) 11 years ago

romney did not say that 47% dont mean anything to him, what he said is that they were going to support obama no matter what.

[-] -2 points by yobstreet (-575) 11 years ago

My personal opinion on this is that voting rights should correlate directly with Fed income taxes paid - one vote for very ten grand; with a minimal $2500 buying a quarter vote.

[-] 1 points by Shule (2638) 11 years ago

That ain't gonna help the 99%.

[-] -1 points by alva (-442) 11 years ago

that seems like a poll tax. what about seniors on low fixed incomes who according to the tax code do not have pay an income tax ? social security security is reportable but non taxable. that would exclude them from voting and that would be unconstitutional.

[-] -2 points by yobstreet (-575) 11 years ago

They're taxing high schools kids for income in excess of $4500 because they're so afraid that the rich will grant their kids bank accounts... they're being taxed because they have no deductions. Based on that $4500 figure, I feel, even the seniors should pay tax because they certainly have income in excess of 4500. My point is that virtually everybody should pay federal tax; the tax code and the tax tables should be structured to insure that they do. People who pay taxes are entitled to vote but no one should have the power to influence who does not contribute, including seniors.
