From MSNBC'S Dylan Ratigan show today........ Ok, this is a bit complicated - today on MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan show - the premise was - TEA party and Occuppy Movements - "Split images - Aligned Goals" and "Citizens versus the ruling elite." Very interesting dialog ! i recorded the 2 parts of the show where Mr. Ratigan interviewed Mark Meckler and David DeGraw in his "30 million jobs" tour - in Texas. Links to the two videos i uploaded to Youtube will follow. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37560195/

One wants to decentralize the government and leave a deregulated capitalism where corporations run the country and the other wants to decentralize the very corporate structure that is currently running the country. This is the same? The only thing that is the same is the fact that they both want to decentralize something.

Minor similarities, major difference in interests.

yes, plutocracyofamerica - Dylan is a wise and creative person. This left me wondering how/if the average person might re-think stereotypes of the tea party people and occupy people after viewing the 2 interviews..... For me, thinking about tea party people brings up images of red necks, racists, people brandishing guns, birthers, callous & uncaring about the less fortunate, fox news support....... For some who think about occupy movement people, they are going to have images of bums, stinky people, dirty people, loudmouths, flag burners, violence ...... A group of people are all too often defined by the extremes and what we see/hear on the news. Just wishing that more Occupy people would get more coverage by the media. We are all leaders - yes but i enjoy it when i see people like people like Grim and David on the tele.

They are similar in that they are both populist movements, angry about the federal debt. The tea party seems to blame homosexuality for the debt, occupy seems to think the debt is caused by insufficient spending on social programs.

The labor movement in this country is even more guilty than the capitalists because they were corrupt, racist, bloated and overpaid. They need to be scrapped and we need to start over again with EVERY job and worker in the country included. More empowerment to the National Board of Labor vs. individual unions.
