"WASHINGTON -- House Republicans are pushing legislation to block predatory lending protections for American soldiers, under pressure from the banking lobby.

GOP lawmakers tucked the deregulation item into the National Defense Authorization Act -- a major bill setting the military's funding, along with a number of other controversial terms on Guantanamo Bay and other issues. "

The banksters' greed may well blow up in their faces if they are to mess with the troops. If Congress went along with the banksters, collateral damage would be expected. I didn't even want to mess with the NYPD, not to mention the members of the mightiest military force on our planet. May prudence reign, amen.

One party is getting them blown to shreds, the other wants them all in further debt.

Kind of the reverse of before... lol... how ironic!!

Its almost as if you can just switch them out and replacement like a perverted game of whack a (insert object/thing of choice)..!!!

Its almost like.... a.... DUOPOLY?!!!

How stupid do you have to be not to know how evil the GOP is? Your teachers should know, your stupidity must be legendary.

But tell me again turbo about how evil all that government spending is, I think when you are being your true conservative self you make the most sense.

JP Morgan Chase was apparently a veteran of domestic war.

Odd that on a "OWS" forum people would focus more on the "troops" part than the "predatory lending" part, I guess it's just how political hacks think when trying to say anything to help their party and the site is pretty much full of ego whores these days always looking at everything to see how it can help their ego whore riddled Green Party.

The "predatory lending" part may be news to you but it is very old (decades) to me. Look up the operations of JP Morgan Chase decades ago how they had relocated to circumvent state usury laws. What IS NEW to me is the gall shown here in the banksters' picking at the troops because I am absolutely sure that Congress got the idea of regulating the financial abuses from the troops' complaining.
