And I do mean

My computer for some reason indicates that today's date is Thursday, January 31, 2013. As it happens, today, I know better. In an attempt to determine precisely how far off my calendar is, I turned to the universal answer all, Google.

And the results:

  • Today's Date -- todaysdate.com/ -- today's date and today's current local weather conditions and temperature provided by simply typing in todaysdate.com. Today's Date is check today's official ...
- **[Thu Jan 31 2013 02:21:xx GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time)](http://todaysdate.com/)**

Apparently if you choose to engage in a scam where it is necessary to convince your mark that the day and date are, in fact, tomorrow, we have ready made tools to place at your disposal.

Just be sure to use Todaysdate.com rather than the dot net or dot org versions of this website.

wait - wait -

It appears this site is simply harvesting the time from my machine, and holding that date and time up, as a reflection - and it is still perfectly usable provided the computer you use to stymie your mark has the desired data preloaded - how interesting

But don't take my word for it - test it. Adjust your own clock setting and click the link above.

Just out of curiosity, I did a whois search on http://todaysdate.com/:

Perhaps most surprising of all:

  • website-information.info

    • It seems that TODAYSDATE.COM has Google PageRank 1!

    • Your Google PageRank (PageRank is between 0 and 10 - the higher, the better) is basically a measure of trust and authority. Domains with a higher PR are likely to rank for more terms than sites with low PR.

    • Daily Unique Visitor: 1.590

And finally:

  • w3snoop.com indicates that the server is located in Garden City, New York.

Simply fascinating.
