Looks like that makes up about 95% of the total or so, American meet your “Royal Class of 2012”.

I’m told the top 196 cover 80% all by themselves; they must be the High Lords/Ladies.

$51.9 mil. total?

when the government budget is 3.5 trillion

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

That is just Romney's total so far, I expect some big money to come in after it won't have to be reported on till after the election, they get three months so around 1st of October money will start flooding in, sort of appropriate heh? 10/1, but if your point is 51 million to buy into a 3.5 billion dollar pie in cheap, well these guys didn’t get rich by being foolish with money.. (sorry about the shrapnel)

What about the "Spooky Pacs" ?? The pacs where money can come in without mention. - http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/413970/may-08-2012/corporate-campaign-players---super-secret--spooky-pacs-

Cool post!

[-] 2 points by beautifulworld (23769) 11 years ago

Disgusting. And, the names of the PACs are even worse:

“Our Destiny”

“Freedom Works for America”

“Revolution PAC”

“Endorse Liberty”

“Restore Our Future”

Who are they kidding? Whose destiny? Whose future are they restoring? Freedom works for whose America? Revolution!!!! - What a joke!

And, I see Obama's face there, too. They're all in this, factsrfun.

look guys i didn't do the down votes, I mean who could down vote JC and BW? wouldn't it be one or the other? or are you just being punished for even reading my stuff? If that's the case, then I guess I am proud of that.

Anyway DK thought it would be a good ideal to get their names out there and I came accross this, I do think it's worth knowing whos who so to speak.

[-] 2 points by beautifulworld (23769) 11 years ago

LOL. I don't care about being down-voted. This was a good post. Thanks.

Ban Political Ads!

(make them answer real questions if they want their message out)

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

I agree with that. In fact, make them provide step by step how it is they are going to achieve specific goals.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

we pickem' with TV ads, so I guess that means McDonald’s really does have the best burger? Maybe that's what been wrong all along money isn't "freedom"; freedom is freedom...

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Well, I don't. I am not the only one out there that thinks the adverts are crap and don't address issues. I think many people are fed up.

Money isn't freedom unless you are homeless. It isn't freedom unless you are trapped in a crime ridden neighborhood. It isn't freedom unless you cannot afford the crappy medical treatment that exists now. None of those ads actually address that.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

don't get me wrong, money is power, but so often those with huge wealth cry "their going after my freedom" when really it's just your money they/we want, we should limit what money can buy so we all can have more freedom, money should not determine how much health care you recieve, need should, money should not determine how far you go in school (or which school you go to), your talent and drive should, and some others I think

What do you think TiVO will do to the ads?

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Considering TiVo has already offered up this which allows the D's and R's to better [profile you](http://www.stanfordlawreview.org/online/privacy-paradox/political-data] then it shouldn't matter if one is skipping ads......there are so many other paths available to target someone. Although, they may very well force people to not skip ads. In doing so, they put themselves in jeopardy with the general public.

I agree with what you are saying. Many in that same group discuss freedom frequently but are silent on responsibility. Unless of course, they aim to lecture other's on it.

I think I will e-mail Jamie and Adam @ mythbusters; this is definitive proof there are some things that can not be fixed with duct tape.

btw: should it not be twinkle stinkle permalinkle

I noticed the down votes and know we don't agree on much, so sorry, you're being punished just for reading my stuff, now and you think the news paper editors will print my stuff? I haven't found any.

The things I write when I write about wealth, like my bio, even Occupy Phoenix refused to print.

same person who dwonvoted you to make you think it was me came in and downvoted me below but not here to "prove" his case, they are stirring disconntent amoung us, I wonder if the mods are ok with such tatics?

[-] 2 points by JadedCitizen (4277) 11 years ago

As long as they don't downvote until they collapse. When it becomes hard to reply because I can't find the comments, it is frustrating. I think they should get rid of the collapse all together.

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

over my head maybe on the tech side, but if you think so in THIS case I will agree :)

What do we learn from this??

Ron Paul is not bought out.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Ron Paul would trun the guns on us, if IBM told him to.

[-] 0 points by ICantSpellTheWordShoesRight (2) 11 years ago

I know, right? His campaign statements have been one corporate donation after another. They own him.

LOL where do you get this stuff?

And is that any worse than "trunning" the guns on Other random countries?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

you should read Atlas, anyway, he puts no limit on corporations, he provides no freedom, other than the right to quit, if one corporation ends up with all the jobs, well you still have freedom
