Stuff about wealth inequality just can't get any traction on the site these days.

[-] 1 points by gsw (3407) from Woodbridge Township, NJ 10 years ago

Good comment ......articles.

Of the new wealth, which the lower 90 percent doesn't touch.

The last line of first article, on wealth being created from banks, I presume via creating "digital money" for new debt, which comes from us.

Now it seems banks aren't creating as much new money, debts for us....they don't need to as government is just giving to them via QE3

And people are conditioned to not request a raise, because of right wing propaganda, that they are not worthy, and from fear, that your job may go away completely.

I guess we won't use money at that point, maybe we will have our own version of gift economy.

so where you at shadzz?

[-] 4 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

I'm where I need to be ... and patting your all too often querulous head, on my day off - for the excellent :

Though it still doesn't necessarily mean that I'd ever buy you a drink, you argumentative 'so&so' but we both like Paul Buccheit & your pro-99% credentials are reconfirmed, despite any DemoCrap fixations !!

And we both probably agree that EVERY AMERICAN needs to watch that doc. which I'm thanking you for here because The 99% - US and Global are all that matters, irrespective of any personal differences !

There is always the chance that someday you will realize a politician is a politician no matter what color they call themselves.

[-] 4 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

Maybe on the same day that you realise that O.W.S. and many millions of others, totally get that US 'D/R Politics' is a 'faux and pseudo choice' between two sides of the same old crooked coin & that top down, self-serving politicians will NEVER serve The 99% Real People because they are already bought and paid for by The Corporations ; 'C-U' ; The Right Wing Think Tanks ; Kochs & The Parasitic 0.01% !!

In the mean time, we 'the people' struggle on in love, faith, hope, charity and solidarity with each other :

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

there there now, did that feel good?

people like yourself who spend their time whining and bitching instead of doing something is a large part of why the in country is in such a mess, people with their heads up their asses or up in the clouds instead of down here on the ground where the Republicans and the 1% are taking everything.

[-] 4 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

You're querulous to the end and ignorant of what I do and why I do it - let alone where I'm from but your inability to see The DemoCrap Party (as opposed to their supporters) as also totally 0.01% Bankster / Corporation - owned and controlled, is the really clear thing to note here ... once again, lol. Interesting how that utter fukwit below latches onto your teat with his ignorant, ageist, reactionary twaddle too.

Anyway, I'm still happy to bump this thread and perhaps the pair of you can gain from reading this :

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

I can read what you write just fine, at least you've given up on the endless goodbyes, as far as what you do it ain't so mysterious people been doing it for decades, your trying to build a new political party so you can be King like all third party fools you don't really give a shit about the country, you just want to hear yourself talk.

[-] 3 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

TCH ; Tch ; tch !!! Oh dear !! Back to wearing your ass as a hat and then proceeding to talk from that location ! I'll leave you to your 'Demobsession' and get on with the real work shall I, 'factsRfractious' ?

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

ahhh you've found your missing "goodbye" how cute

the Greens are a cancer within OWS, like all cancers they seek their form of dominance, while remaining ignorant of the real causes of our plight...they are driven by their egos, just like the Reds and the Blues, if we are to succeed we must see them all for what the are, mere tools to be used to obtain and preserve our freedom from those that are born to good families.

[-] 4 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

@ 'factsRfractious' : even though I do not accept your 'anal'ysis, I'm still happy to bump your forum-post in the hope readers will engage with your links and/or some of the linked articles on this thread even though you'll fail to engage with the article below probably - because mere thoughts of the author will send you raving towards apoplexy, lol :

''Why are big, global U.S. corporations so unpatriotic ? After all, they were created in the U.S.A., rose to immense profit because of the toil of American workers, are bailed out by American taxpayers whenever they’re in trouble.''

[-] -2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

When reading what Ralph has written one must understand that this is a man who either believes that Al Gore would have drilled for oil in the Alaskan wilderness or that drilling there don't matter and if the man is that detached from reality how can one trust anything he says?

[-] -2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

perhaps Nader, The murder of Baghdad, could tell us why he is so unpatriotic but hey time for a poem:

Nader the traitor has crawled under a rock,

It’s the only place safe from the things that he wrot.

As millennia approached us, we had one last shot,

To stop the plant we're on from getting, too damn hot.

But Nader thought better his name should be heard.

And Gore was left standing with only his word.

[-] 5 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

Holy fkn Moly ! STOP fighting old fights, will you ?!! Gore caved in like a wet paper towel when the whole fkn 2000 election result should have been taken to the Supreme Court and THAT is where the fkn blame lies 'cause Gore wimped out and was left ''standing'' there with his dick in his hand with no balls !!! And as for your boring, incorrigible & pathological 'Demobsession', re. OWS - here what it's really all about :

You'll note that I'm still able to bump your thread but because of your attitude, it is getting to be a bit of a 'banging head on wall' type chore now, lol, hrumph and a li'l grrrr !!!

ad iudicium ...

[-] -2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

When there are no more Greens then perhaps we can stop remembering 2000, but as long as people still fall for that OLD line of bull shit about how they're all the same, then we must remember the disaster caused the last time people fell for that OLD crap.

Nader had a choice just as we all do he could have set his ego aside and supported the most environmentally friendly person we ever had or will have a chance to elect instead he ran around the country telling lies and talking about how great he was, he is a lying bastard that killed the Earth, we should never forget about Hitler and we should never forget about Nader, (Nader did more harm)

[-] 3 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

It's you who is falling ''for that OLD line of bull shit'', 'factsRfractious' & really you're so full of shit that you could fertilise most of Arizona. However, your blind, tribal, Demobsession aside, this is still an important thread that warrants bumping, ergo :

Tell it to the people who died in wars started by the man you helped put in the White house.

It is clear that OWS has become infected with the disease of conceit and it's death will come soon, too bad really..

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

It's a shame really what people like yourself have done to OWS, it could have been something powerful but instead it seems determined on carrying water for the Greens and becoming just another political lap dog.

in other words the crap Hedges writes is the oldest bunch of crap around

[-] 3 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

Yawn .... and also by Paul Bucheit :

''We all live better lives when the common good is not for sale.'' and because you clearly like the ever ethical and heart-centred Chris Hedges so much, I append for your illumination if not pleasure :

Finally, because we may all gain from occasionally reading or refering to it :

You've no shame at all for the things you've helped Bush do, you are just plain stupid.

[+] -5 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

your facts are fucked as to what happen in 2000 Bush v the state of Florida, Gore did take it as far as he could have short of war, now I was ready to fight for democracy but there weren't very many of us, none in the press

[-] 4 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

Are you prepared to state which bit of the following you disagree with and why ?

Maybe you could take a trip to their Annual National Meeting in Iowa on July 25-28 & learn a li'l :

You & I both know that 'The Dem Party Machine' and Gore bottled out of the fight in 2000 as it's on the record ! James Baker and all the other Texan lawyers flew into Florida and Gore folded in order to help maintain the charade of demoCRAZY deMOCKERYcy in The U$A !! You know this but can't face it !!!

ad iudicium ...

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

oh and as far as the platform goes, the Greens are politicians and politicians lie, hate to be the one to tell you

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

I oppose helping to put Republicans in public office and the fucking Greens do that, they put Bush in the White house and they and everyone who voted for Nader are as guilty as any Republican that voted for Bush when considering the hundreds of thousands of dead already or the millions to come when Earth warns up.

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

You are a lying shithead about what happen in 2000 in regards to the court battle it went as far as he could, as Mr. Gore put it he realized there was nothing between a finial Supreme Court ruling and armed conflict, now I would have fought to defend democracy but there were few of us.

Nader on the other hand could have easily delivered 100,000 votes in FL and the White House to Gore and we would be debt free and be addressing climate change in a serious way by now, but Nader and the Greens saw their chance and took it and the rest is history as they say. So you keep right on helping the GOP and the 1% do whatever they want.

[-] 3 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

Shame on you 'factsRfractious' for your blind Demallegiance & ''you don't get a revolution by voting for the status quo'' or the 'R/D Duopoly' or a faux democracy but actual demoCRAZY deMOCKERYcy !!!

We shouldn't forget your predilection for 'Hitlary1%Clinton' either & yes, I could cross link to the thread and comment where you said that & I note your implicit agreement of my point re. 'Gore&Civil War' !!

The Greens aren't a panacea but seem closest to OWS & 99% goals so I'll always push them and ANY pro-99% Independents but I will still bump your important thread with where the action is right now :

at spes non fracta ...

[+] -4 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

oh do link you lying son of a bitch...

The Greens a pack of politicians the fact that you don't know what that means revels your stupidity

[-] 1 points by shadz66 (19985) 10 years ago

''OK since it's just us dems in here, I will say Obama was never my guy, I wanted Hillary she was already pissed off and that's a good place to start with the GOP. Obama had voted and said stuff about the bankruptcy bill that had me worried that he liked bankers too much, I think I might have been right about that.'' - as expressed by one 'factsrfun' from his comment :

You'll note, 'frf', that your sweet way with words and gentle manner persists in bearing fruit with my continued bumping of this still important and now increasingly revealing thread. Now try to consider :

Your deep and visceral hatred of RepubliCons, is affecting your judgement and twisting your soul, dude.

multum in parvo ...

[-] -3 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

and you seem to have no judgement at all, supporting fucking Republicans, like you do; in your actions, if not your words,. the problem with America is that not enough people understand what a monster the GOP has become, OWS could fix that and save America and by extension the world, but people like yourself are doing all you can to prevent OWS from doing that or anything at all really.

[-] -3 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

so what's your problem with that comment, the reason America is in this mess is because people like you have been fooled into believing it's OK for the GOP to hold public office. People like you reaching across to them, Hillary would have put some bankers in jail by now, but people bought the bull so yeah we got weak-ass Obama instead tough as nails Hillary. I did say that, so you got a problem with that?

[-] -3 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

Nader's the man that destroyed the Earth

And I won’t forget that from death until birth.

When the future was hanging by a thin oily thread

He shouted from rooftops, “Things need to be said!”

So instead of supporting our last fading hope

He said “Look at me!” like a big fuckin’ dope

To prove to the world, for those that don’t know

He’s a sick little bastard, and so he’s alone.

[-] 1 points by Timex (-3) 10 years ago

Before you blame Nader for everything, remember that in the 2000 election a two term sitting Vice President with a great economy behind him couldn't figure out how to win his home state, a state Clinton won twice. if he won TN, he'd have been prez.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 10 years ago

sure it was very close, the support of a one more environmentalist or consumer advocate might very well have made the difference
