What Todd Adkins actually said was more then his words imply... it's a question that has been at the very center of Christian debate for 400 years now: "God giveth and God taketh away." For this very reason, the Puritan ministry decided some three hundred and fifty years ago to remain silent and not intervene in the rather common occurrence of the aborting of unwanted pregnancy in early America. There are also questions of the power of physiology so, I think, we should elect him. And in words of Pelosi, read the bill later. :)

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

So you support his offensive comments?

[-] -1 points by funkytown (-374) 11 years ago

Based on decades of consensual sexual experience (emphasis on "consensual," therefore possibly invalid), I believe there may be some truth to the physiological possibilities, yes. But it is as I said in the above - he believes, very possibly, that this occurs for reason inexplicable. In other words, intuitively, I am reading more and I think that intuition as early warning is a very valid device. I'm not big on sound bytes, this applies to all... Also, very few words offend me; I often invite such invective, so... now we must ask ourselves, who is this masked man?

I ain't never been to Heaven, but I've been to Oklahoma; and we can't get to Missouri from here.

Such a shame we can no longer speak to him.

Sounds like you support his comments. Even Akin was smart enough to apologize and walk 'em back. Rape is rape. last year there were 32K pregnancies as a result. The pseudo science that the uterus prevents pregnancy during "legitimate" rape is ridiculous, untrue, & offensive to all decent people.

Support women! Keep abortion legal.

Elect progressives, Vote out anti abortion, anti women republicans

I do support the belief of possibility related to physiological power, yes. I also have questions that relate to the intellectual challenge itself of the philosophical aspects of creation. Regardless, abortion is an issue of no relevance except as related to late term pregnancy; I'm not overly mired in minor issues of innate morality. I would also like to know a whole lot more of colonial homeopathy acquired of the Native American because they utilized emergency contraception methods capable of reaching even into late term without any apparent side effects; such "cures" would no doubt be prohibited by the FDA today.

I don't believe women are entitled to more birthing rights than I myself would be if I, as a male, were deemed to be the birther. And, science has made this possible - will women, collectively, as the nurturers, grant me the right to abort? Not likely...

I don't understand. What are you talkin about?

Elect progressives! Vote out anti native American republicans!

[-] -2 points by funkytown (-374) 11 years ago

haha.... Anti Native American Republicans? Are you kidding me, look around - the Natives lost the battle and won the war - thousands and thousands of acres, a greater state sovereignty, no taxes, an irreproachable cause to shield identity and a ticket to the national treasury.

Elect progressives, Vote anti VAWA republicans

[-] -1 points by funkytown (-374) 11 years ago

haha... listen if illegitimacy was not an issue, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Also, obviously Akin's had some exposure to the less legitimate forms of rape... and so I don't think we should get all hung about the use of adjectives, legitimate or otherwise, as long as the symbology or resonance is within reach.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Huh? Sorry not a real sentence.

Rape is rape. There are no different grades or levels. You continue to offend women when you push that fallacy.

[-] 0 points by funkytown (-374) 11 years ago

So what? They've been offending us since the dawn of human conscience[less]ness.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Yeah man! It ain't right.
