Now, if you are looking for plans or ideas on solving our monetary policy crisis, you are out of luck.

A promise to bring out troops home by Christmas? From all over? Nope.

A bold decision to possibly reverse the decision that open and free trading with China, through child slave labor, is immoral and needs to end? Hell no.

A remark on our 76,000 page tax code, filled with loopholes and scams, being need to be redone. Perhaps simplified and reduced to the size of a full length novel, maybe 700 pages? Hell, even a novel series of (3) 700 books? Not a chance. They love the loopholes. Its why Obama only paid 20.2% and Mitt only 15%.

Obama bragging about drilling more than Bush.

Wonderful. My how things can change over 4 years.

[-] 2 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Haha. Obama got pissed off towards the end. He even got pushy with the mod, al-la Romney. Guess they switched personalities for this debate.

[-] 2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Obama talking about the top getting special rules. If Romney wasnt part of the same bought out system, he would be mentioning LIBOR and MF Global, and banks making record profits. But he wont. They both work for the same people.

Any questions by the moderator on Indef detention and would either candidate repeal the most horrific rights stealing legislation ever passed?

Hell no, we dont want to talk about that!!

Get Your Popcorn Ready !! The Next Real Debate in the Presidential Reality Series is About to Start!!

It's not the one the corporate press tells us about it is at Democracy Now!

http://www.democracynow.org/

It is running this morning and again this evening. Presumably a perma link will be added after the fact as they have for other segments.

Am i understanding this right? We vote for a president based on the most good we feel they promise to do. But the president never does what they say and the secret corporate agendas are followed regardless. So why do we care about these debates? I feel like this has become a puppet show.

Look at last election. Obama and Hillery were doing ok, but the Others were not really taking it seriously, showing up on comedy talk shows or saying things without confidence. It focused on Obama and Hillery being serious like a script. Then, all of a sudden, Hillery started acting like it was high school, making Obama the confident leader. The whole thing smelled like designer history.

Who knows what's going on really. I wish we could just focus on the roots of our problems.

Jill Stein, Cheri Honkala arrested, call tonight's debate a "mockumentary" Posted by Jill Stein for President on October 16, 2012

Jill Stein and Cheri Honkala, the Green presidential and vice-presidential nominees, were just now forcibly prevented from entering the grounds of tonight's presidential debate organized by the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD)

Yup, thats going to be a good one. You can also check out DemocracyNow tomorrow morning to hear Jill and Rocky's take on the debates and comments.

[-] 1 points by NVPHIL (664) 11 years ago

I caught some of their comments for the first debate. I can now see why the debates don't include them. Can't have the corporate candidates schooled on national tv.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Comments on MF Global, and the lack of prosecution of Jon Corzine? Nope.

Comments on LIBOR, and the lack of prosectution? Nope.

To hell in a hand basket, sure, no problem... but to float aimlessly on this pirate's sea of shit is a little ridiculous.

Taxes........taxes.........taxes....... Do people in other countries go on and on about taxes all the time? Maybe it's in our American DNA.

I'm sure the vast majority of OWS will be in the Obama cheering section.

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Eh, it depends on if you are talking about people who show up at rallies, or people who are actual on the ground organizers.

The organizers dont vote for these two corporate clowns.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Absolutely untrue. Lots of organizers are voting, many for Pres Obama. And none for Ro money!

You don't know what you are talkin about.

[-] 0 points by Barfnow (-16) 11 years ago

I find that difficult to believe.

[-] 2 points by Mooks (1985) 11 years ago

I think you will find most people associated with OWS are genuinely against both candidates. There are some on here, however, that are currently breaking out the KY to watch Barry O. tonight.

who would of guessed

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Obama and Romney arguing over who has drilled more, and who will drill more. This is too much.

[-] 1 points by DanielBarton (1345) 11 years ago

its two chickens fighting for bread.

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

haha pretty much. Empty promise after empty promise.

Both thrilled they force poor people to buy insurance from corrupted companies.

[-] 1 points by ronniepaul2012 (214) 11 years ago

Not so poor people, too :-)

[-] 1 points by DanielBarton (1345) 11 years ago

yep i do like them calling each other out on issues but honestly it is a record on repeat. Both refusing to answer the actual question one more than the other.

[-] 2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Each party is ownd by Goldman and JP and Morgan Stanley. They make more money that way.

[-] 2 points by DanielBarton (1345) 11 years ago

i noticed i honestly dont think they're own by the same bank they're cutting each other to much.

the last question on libya was a good one to come up though good question

[-] 3 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Obama never called it a terrorist attack.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

The very next morning (9/12) he said "acts of terror" Candi said so!

Anyway the repubs criticism, harping, & insistence that we use the "terrorism terminology" is just their effort to maintain the fear mongering they need to continue their endless war on terror.

If PresObama succeeds at playing down terrorism, he will be able to declare the war on terror over, stop drone bombings, cut the defense budget more & muster support for repeal the rights violations repubs created.

If repubs succeed at scaring the shit out of everyone we will get more bombs, more wars, more violations, more def spending, & more violations.

The fear mongering rhetoric is a high priority target for us to end!

replace fear mongering conservatives, with peace loving progressives, & protest all war & rights violations.

The unemployment numbers are not correct and they are not counting the millions that dropped out of the work force and no longer looking for work. The Obama admin is pretending the economy is just fine but it is still in serious trouble

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

The Unemployment numbers are as bad as they have always been.. They aren't any inaccurate as when a repub was in office.

You just don't like that they are going down! You're rooting for national failure because of your hatred of Pres Obama!

And I have heard talk extensively on how bad the economy is still doing.

He hasn't said enough that it is the repub traitorous obstruction that is slowing recovery, but he doesn't say the economy is just fine.

[-] -1 points by WeThePeop (-259) 11 years ago

That is a lie and he did not say that. He was still saying it was because of a youtube video. The Obama admin is also lying about the unemployment numbers also

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

He said it the next day! It's a matter of record. In any event I prefer we not focus on calling it terrorism & continuing the repub fear mongering to keep their war on terror going.

And what is wrong with the unemployment numbers?

[-] 2 points by DanielBarton (1345) 11 years ago

i know it was im actually really pissed about that comment. I honestly dont even remember the rose garden meeting

how is teachers related to guns

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Romney said good parenting & good schools can reduce violence! Pres Obama agreed and expanded on the need to invest in good schools/teachers.

That's how teachers relate to gun violence. And Pres Obama said just that at the end of his answer. But you knew that. Why are you pretending you don't understand.?

[-] 1 points by ronniepaul2012 (214) 11 years ago

Right....and 2 wks later he stood before the UN condemning that movie and stating that "The future does not belong to those who would slander the prophet of Islam". You know what "slander" means in this islamic context? Say anything disparaging....truth or not.

[-] -2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Many voters want more drilling gotta get elected by those gas gusling Americans.

Repubs mantra = drill baby drill!

The difference is Obama is talking about Green tech. Romney is talkin about coal.

[-] -1 points by Barfnow (-16) 11 years ago

LOL!

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

You can either base your thoughts off wha the media has played to you, or you can go off of what Im telling you right now. Or you can go and hang out for a couple of weeks and see for yourself.
