Too much emphasis on the immediate, on practice, and the goals are lost sight of; the movement, because it has no program, often becomes social- democratic, liberal, a tool of the status quo, led by "betrayers".

Too much emphasis on program and the movement becomes isolated, sectarian, populated by adventurers, and profoundly elitist as it substitutes fancy blueprints for programes that are developed in the course of interaction with the system, the problems it creates, and the people it disaffects.

The news media even liberal news try to make out like we are all a bunch of low-life socialistic commies, and when you speak with the general public like Joe the plumber that's what he'll say because he's been brainwashed to think such nonsense.

I hate the Republican party just like the next guy in here, but Obama and the democratic party try to use this movement telling the reporters and the general public that this is 'their' movement which it isn't.

I was a tea party member before the republicans moved in and infiltrated the movement, don't let this happen with OWS.

Personally I don't want to see this movement just another sector to the Democratic party nor to the same old two party political machine.

The above quote is from a book written in the sixties. Some of the book is out of date but much of it can be applied to the present. A suggested read for all OwS. The above post also reminds me of Spains civil war in the 30's.
