"Penn & Teller Burn a Flag in the White House" is fiction filmed on a Hollywood set, not a crime committed in Washington DC. And The Nation article referenced above is just more corporate fascist elite propaganda to convince the Sheeple that their votes in rigged elections actually mean something.

I support every-ones freespeech and their right to express themselves in whatever way they choose to, so long as it harms nobody and causes damage to no ones property.
I would never burn one myself, for a peformance, as it is a sign that the nation is in distress. But thats me.(I have confidence we the people will turn this train wreck around though it wont be painless)

How dare they burn the American flag! That symbol of all that is just and honorable deserves more than just respect, it is sacred! We should all be willing to die for it!
And we are. Thousands of U.S.soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan were willing. Tens of thousands of innocent civilians in countries around the world were not. All for a piece of cloth. That does not care about what is just or what is honorable. It deserves no respect, there is nothing sacred about it.
