If you are one of those demanding answers from the occupy movement, then, you are not part of it. Those truly involved are GIVING answers, not DEMANDING answers. If you need a list of "talking points" you need to go back from where you came. For your selfish, irresponsible brain, one perfect for the slavery of consumerism and doing the bidding of corporations without question THAT is where you should go. Not here, trolling.
Adults take responsibility and contribute. They don't whine and complain and do as they are told.
I'd like to see the Occupy movement switch its focus a bit from trying to Occupy physical space to attempting to Occupy the Political space everywhere, instead. We should be focusing on creating GAs everywhere, not necessarily overnight encampments, which are easily surrounded and take enormous resources to keep going. This is primarily a political movement and we shouldn't turn into a commune movement. We should also IMO let go of the People's Mic when ever possible. Its becoming a kind of fetish , when in reality it was simply a momentary adaptation for a particular situation ( no amplification in ZPark.) The real core of the movement though are the GAs and these are IMO critical. Another recommendation is that we begin to focus on soft targets of the establishment and try and bring media and public attention to these targets in creative ways. Flash mobs might work in this effort.
agreed, to do that we need to generate platforms and position papers, which means taking this to a new intellectual space and height.
