Don't believe me follow your precious donation button for yourselves. As a matter of fact PLEASE don't believe me look for yourselves... Continue to ask questions. Continue to read the "fine print". But for goodness sake know who you are fighting for. Is it for rebels in South America?
I'm all for truth in advertising, transparency, call it what you will.
But the left and the right are just as guilty on this matter.
Don't you guys get it? Both parties are shilling for themselves, not us. Maybe they're the ones with the golden parachute. For sure they're the ones doing the backroom deals. And I seemed to notice we have the most guns, bombs, nukes in the entire world.
Let me also point out that the donations are in fiat currency.

ok that is fine. and that is your belief. I get it. I happen to believe in FBR but whatevs that wasn't or isn't the point I am trying to make. I am trying to ask - where are the donation monies going? Why does it seem like they are funneling up to a larger group? Do people who donate really know where their money is going?

I must admit I am a little reticent to donate when the money is processed through Nicueragua (sp). I so admire this movement and want to support them but I don't like the Central America thing.
You have a big demonstration today. sign people up to vote. or donate supplies directly, I guess. But just bear in mind where the money is going before you spend of your own on a movement that clearly doesn't care where donations are directed.
Good advise, thanks. I love the organic nature, and passion of this movement, I totally support them. I work for gov. so my involvement is going to have to be minimal. Agreed, in the upcomming days they are going to need to crystalize their focus.
Don't get your hopes up too high. They have been here 3 weeks and their focus is everywhere... Wednesday night was nothing short of terrifying. Protesters, Police, By Standers were all in peril. It was far from peaceful. Both sides are to blame for that. I really feel this movement lost their innocence that night. They were in bed, willingly, with some of the most notorious union thugs on the planet and shockingly things got pretty violent. It wont be long until they are swept out of the park under the guise of "public health concerns".
I really am not a "paranoid" but the media coverage of this whole thing makes me suspicious. First time I saw an article on MSNBC, when I got done reading the article and comments, it had been removed from the site. I have heard nothing of the thing on Wednesday. Going to have to search for it. Thanks.

I was leaving work when this all went down. There was no way I could get to the PATH train so I did what any one would do . Pivoted. Went to the seaport and had a beer... The protesters were creating human links and rushing the police. the police were responding with telescoping night sticks. Bad scene.
Yea you can totally send clothing down there or non perishable food. Individuals not associated with any group are still trying to come down and support so any extra sleeping bags, tarps etc will be distributed and anything they do not need they share with homeless & needy folks.
