As a slap in the face to women during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Rick Scott cuts funding to rape crises centers in Florida.

On April 17, smack in the middle of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Gov. Rick Scott vetoed $1.5 million for the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence. The Legislature allotted the funds to the organization in order to support 30 rape crisis centers as they face impending reductions in collections, which currently is the bulk of their budgets.
The cut to the Florida Council was just one of the many health projects that Scott used his line-item veto power to eliminate from this year’s $70 billion budget.
Rick Scott is such an a$$hat. I hope FLA learns a lesson from this happy horse ship. They should pull a Scott Walker on Rick Scott.

If you think the name HCA sounds familiar, it's because it was founded by the current Governor of Florida, and it paid a record fine of $2 billion for Medicare fraud. The rightwing talking point is that Rick Scott "wasn't involved", he did however take the 5th during testimony something like a hundred times to avoid incriminating himself. Yeah, you can guess the odds that he wasn't involved.
You would think that electing Scott to anything at all would be like naming an airport after Reagan.

Rick scott said that the statistical survey done illustrated that the other 6.5 million was enough to cover the rape victims. That is why he knocked out the 1.5 million.
Scott pays people to make statistics say what he wants them to say.
Plus the simple fact, that he could have funded them, his damn self, and still had 100s of millions left over..
