Another form of money in politics exists that rarely gets discussed. The one in which states can require thousands of dollars for a person to run for office.

Now, a person doesn't have to pay any money if they can aquire a certain amount of signatures but the money option ever remains for those who can afford it rather than be restricted to the requirement of those without the money.
