Of course they do, and the moon is made of green cheese.

Yes, it's almost as ridiculous as 'guns kill people'. Ban guns and all violence vanishes. Chicago, with the most restrictive gun laws in the state with the most restrictive gun laws is a shining example of anti gunner success.

Hey, I own firearms of various sorts. So you won't get an argument from me. Disturbed people will find ways of killing people regardless of the laws.

OK. This was my tongue in cheek response to all the folks on this site that want to take our guns away! WIth the added bonus that he used 'free money' from our nanny state.

a good thing when people say "guns kill people" say "spoons make people fat" since national obesity is a real problem

So did Romney to send American Jobs overseas all so that he could make a profit. How many lives were destroyed because of his actions. Suicides, starvation, commit crimes to survive, on and on. Romney may not have used a gun, but I bet his profit making weapon Bain inc destroyed a whole hell of a lot more lives, and over a longer period of time. Even Jack the ripper had to quit after a while to avoid being caught. Romney simply bought congress in order to make his crimes 'Legal'. Lives lost are not a tongue in cheek joke. But then repugnacans(TM) don't care about any life that doesn't have a minimum balance of net worth in the multimillions.

Considering how doped up the holmes guy looked, I wouldn't doubt he was set up as an Manchurian candidate. I sure hope the Colorado police department make sure to fully test the holmes guy for powder residue which, IF he was the shooter, his body should literally be saturated with. I just find it a little strange that this guy managed to shoot a whole lot of people, and then suddenly be found outside by his car, no gun to threaten officers with. No gas mask on 90 seconds after the police were called which was only seconds after the killing spree began. How many of the witnesses can actually IDENTIFY him while he was wearing a mask and helmet. Personally, I not much of one for conspiracies, but I can only think of one person who would truly BENEFIT from this heavy duty distraction, and has plenty of money and power to put this kind of set up in motion. Even some of the witnesses say that whoever they saw go to the door to hold it open seemed to be calling to someone else. Go figure. As for banning guns and all violence disappears, that is a tired argument. However, if all persons are armed on an equal playing field, then violence IS reduced. The problem is the unequal field like the zimmerman debacle. He deliberately sought a confrontation, which does go to show a motive of intent to do bodily harm. Society does not need M-60 wielding morons running around pretending that they are the only protection America has. Our nation has proved on many occasions, that when our nation is threatened, whether it be from within or without, Americans have always managed to band together to defend her. The civil war was not a war of defense, but a war of ideology... the south primarily wanting the right to make slaves out of whoever they desired. Kind of contradicts the meaning of the "Land of the Free" I would say. But then Nazi thinking was not the sole inspiration of the Germans. The false belief that one person is better than another has for eons been a genetic defect of the human race, and believe you me, this nation is loaded with defective people and they generally call themselves neocons and anarchists. The underlying premise of social order is that we all agree to a set of rules that allow us to live in proximity to one another without interfering or infringing upon one another. Problem is, too many religious zealots, manic supremacists and racially biased morons tend to believe it is their right to infringe upon another's life, while simultaneously believing that no one has the right to infringe upon theirs. Such is the history of man, the most conceited creature to ever inhabit the planet. Every other lifeform on this planet KNOWS how to coexist harmoniously with its environment, but NOT man. Mainly, its because he is too stupid to think beyond his groin and his belly. By the way, people don't kill people, is only half wrong. Federal Grants kill people, is way out wrong. Bullets kill people...that is factually correct. And it is PEOPLE who load the bullets into the gun....NOT federal grants. Over sixty percent of Americans have taken out student loans... federal grants... how many of them have gone on killing sprees. Not a whole lot I would wager. But considering how contentious our nation has become over the last four years... something to do with a black man having taken up residence in the "WHITE" house....oooooooh! scary (Sarcasm, I'm sure you could tell) that has somehow gotten a lot of "White" people's panties all up in a bunch. By the way, I am Native American, I look white, but I am 1/4 Apache among other tribes, oh and I am a man in case you thought I was a woman dissin' the male experience. But, what's the old saying..."Takes one to know one". Well, I am of a generation who was lucky enough to have benefited from a full and decent education. I am fully familiar with the male mentality, the testosterone drive towards domination, the pigheaded stubbornness against cooperation except for when it achieves some form of selfish gratification. Man is beyond contempt. He abuses all he sees, wastes all that he uses, infects all that he passes, and defames all that he holds. I have spent years trying to insure my children learn the true meaning of what it means to be a "Civilized" human being. But I'll tell you, with the "shining examples" present today.... well lets just say, I may have to continue with homeschooling for a while longer. Truth tends to get lost in the every day rhetoric of the bombastic right and the ever flailing left. I am an American. Once, not too long ago, that meant something. Now its just a form of gorilla beating on his chest euphemism. Guns may be necessary, but so is the common sense and intelligence to know when and when not to use them. But then, they have always been a substitute for certain deficient attributes that a man seems to be embarrassed about. When a man can start thinking with the head upstairs, and not the one downstairs, that's when there will be a marked difference in the violence level in this nation...viagra, and all the other crucial insurance covered one up pills won't aid in that transition, nor will the Testosterone elevator pills. They just make a man even more stupid. It's no wonder why women are so tired of men's shit. Expecting intelligent discourse from certain types of men is like expecting water to run uphill. Virtually impossible without special equipment to defy gravity. Anyways, Gun control does not mean abolishing the 2nd amendment.. it means applying COMMON SENSE laws that limit the damage a lone gun nut like the Colorado clown managed to accomplish all because a few Numbnuts with Rifles and Artillery seem to believe that they can't hunt with anything less than an RPG and M-2 50cal. Military grade weapons are MEANT for only one thing, killing on a vast scale, more commonly, people in a war. Anyone who claims its for hunting game, is not only a liar, but also an irresponsible citizen of this nation, and therefore constitutes a real and terrible threat to a stable society. One day I would hope we may achieve the status of a community... but first we have to learn to become a stable society... and as things stand now, that future doesn't look to be fast approaching any time soon. Or maybe he just went crazy. I read somewhere that he stopped using paragraphs in his writing, and we all know that is one of the first signs of psychosis.

[-] 1 points by matoinyanawacis (157) 11 years ago

Well, actually, crazy people tend to end their sentences with Psychosis, instead of with a measured intelligent argument. Those who focus on periods and commas and not the context of the message....well let's just say, at least dyslexics still see the letters in words. Just for you... !!?...?:"",,,!,.?..;: Hope that helps. I don't understand it, but perhaps you might.

UCH is the most corrupt hospital I can think of. It's up there with Yale. A neuropsychologist/professor there did a neuropsych exam on a woman that was poisoned by pharma. Three other doctors lied about her condition to protect the manufacturer. And then to seal her fate they had her LTD carrier, Liberty Mutual do an unfair IME so she would lose her benefits. This kind of stuff happens all the time to the disabled, the most vulnerable among us.

The NIH only gives out grants that pharma will match. They rig the clinical trials and then we have a new poison on the market that will kill and maim.

We have a desire to make some sense out of an act of madness. There may be no reasonable action anyone could have taken to prevent lives from being taken. Anyone that wants to kill will kill. The question now becomes, would it have been more with a bomb or fewer with a knife or sword? The grant, the gun laws, violent movies, we're looking to place blame. Any way you look at it we're trying to understand the incomprehensible.

MK-ultra

[-] 1 points by FreedomReigns (72) 11 years ago

Agreed. MK-ultra has played a huge role in assassinations and public shootings. Good luck trying to tell anyone though. They can't wrap their heads around it, and so, refuse to listen to any evidence.

I own 21 guns. They are all in a safe, except for the one I carry and the one my wife carries. I'll bet you wished my wife and I were in that theater. Who knows how many would not be dead and wounded today.
