Everything you are demonstrating against will thrive during an election year.It is a time issue the politicians will debate the same old issues(who's sleeping with who while people are homeless and hungry)the banks and corporations will donate to the politicians coffers.Deals will be made behind closed doors. The OWS will give some clout to the democrats. But really since no one was prosecuted for loan sharking or any other white collar crime do you think any thing will change? How about this and you get more people involved in cleaning up the system and recover from this self imposed recession..and a little more clout than your vote .www.nationalday911.org
Could you tell us a little bit about this? Do you have a working group? Have you booked a venue or aired notices on tv?
I started seeing the decline in the neighborhoods,lots of foreclosure notices a lot of crime, homeless shelters swelling,friends losing jobs. So i started doing a little research about the money mainly federal money. I've came to the conclusion that it is the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the ensuing wars that have drained the money supply believe it or not the scandalous banking practices and Wall Street scandals would have probably been covered up (or as THEY put it absorbed by the economy)except they didn't anticipate the slow down and impact of 9/11 you know AIG paid out 40 billion in direct claims from 9/11and 8 years later we are bailing them out.There are plenty of other examples.So i remembered reading about a country that was going to create a NATIONALDAY because they were in arrears financially and thought we should do this.I put together what i could research and started telling people about it almost 100% I have talked to have said they would gladly do this ...but always with the stipulation that the committee who would administer the money would have to be incorruptible (there actually are some believe it or not) I told a radio host and he put it on his financial report...he said the phone started ringing off the wall with over 90% positive, So I started the web site. www.nationalday911.org I have a small group of supporters but I am just getting started if OWS did this they could make it happen quickly or at least support it. To me politics is money driven at this point you need either the money or the people your cause is noble but you are going against people who control people because they are in control of the peoples money you understand? with a nationalday you could get rid of the money in politics you could fund elections,(with the knowledge that America's business is business) you could alleviate a lot of the animosity in this country between the classes. you could honor those killed on 9/11 with an unprecedented sacrifice, you could see that everyone realizes WE are in this together even corporations who would benefit by the day from the American List i mentioned in the summary on the web page.and we would benefit by having jobs.
