Listen to the words and actions of Elizabeth Warren, I think she is the real deal and she is gaining against the Massachusetts Rep Sellout.

She is an expert in finance and a fighter for the 99% - how rare.

She grill regulators yesterday.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2013/02/14/172045516/watch-sen-elizabeth-warren-grills-regulators-on-taking-banks-to-trial

This is the very least that should happen. This is the job that pols have neglected to do. Had they done so, perhaps some well deserved perp walks and jail time would have happened.

If the statute of limitations havent lapsed, we must pressure ALL politicians for that.

Elizabeth Warren I have known about for years since her book The Two Income Trap which reveals the corruption and greed of the big banks and how they crush families. It gives the historical background on the credit card. Evil to the max. Elizabeth is smart and honorable. Republicans hate and fear her. They should.

Sen Warren rules, Repubs drool

Whatever happened to dealdoctor?

I've been an active participant in the Occupy movement since before it started.

I began organizing students to go to Occupy DC when organizers announced it in the summer, and I helped organize #OccupyHarvard in Cambridge, MA.

You can search for me on Google and read more about me, if you'd like. And please send me an email at sam [dot] wohns [at] gmail [dot] com if you want to help organize the #OccupyPAC.

Elizabeth Warren, yes.

I'd like some verifieds before I plunk any money down. Who is Sam Wohns?

[-] 1 points by cmt (1195) from Tolland, CT 12 years ago

Seems to be a young person interested in politics - he was governor of a mock government for high school kids in 2009 and a delegate to an international YMCA conference the following year. Hales from Michigan apparently.

Elizabeth Warren is the best thing to happen to us in a long time.

[-] 1 points by repubsRtheprob (1209) 11 years ago

And more than just tough on banksters.

Fighting against austerity.

I am so thrilled to see Elizabeth Warren in the Senate and
hitting the banksters. It really crystallized the flaw in "settlements"

[-] 1 points by repubsRtheprob (1209) 11 years ago

We need another 49 in the senate like her. and 219 in the house.

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I would settle for 25 more in the house & getting rid of the filibuster.

[-] 1 points by repubsRtheprob (1209) 11 years ago

Ok. Me too.

I'll even forgive her tax the rich more\voluntary higher tax rate hypocrisy if she can do something here.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I think she would be happy with the republiclan Eisenhower tax rates
Would you ?

[-] -2 points by freakzilla (-161) from Detroit, MI 11 years ago

I'm not sure if she would be happy with it or not. I'd just be happy to see her put her money where her mouth is. Literally.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

townhall is a right wing tool
just look at some of their other spews
but they did report that EW paid all of the tax
that she was legally obligated to pay

[-] -2 points by freakzilla (-161) from Detroit, MI 11 years ago

If you talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I love slogans - they save so much thinking

[-] -1 points by freakzilla (-161) from Detroit, MI 11 years ago

I forgot. When it comes to you and Democrats, talking is all you need.

Facebook paid what they were legally obligated to pay. So did LinkedIn and god knows how many others. I bet the lack of a (D) changes your views.

Anyway, I may forgive her this hypocrisy if she keeps up the good work, just not yet.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

Yes and GE paid what they were obligated to pay
that is why we need to change the laws so the rich
will have more obligations.
Do you think the laws should let GE pay no tax when they make billions?

[-] 1 points by freakzilla (-161) from Detroit, MI 11 years ago

No, but with politicians like Warren having situational ethics when it comes to paying taxes, I'm not anticipating much change any time soon.

[-] 1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

you ever see Rove's massive propaganda campaign against Warren and OWS?

It was fucked up - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSGuwU3HSjw

[-] 1 points by samwohns (7) 12 years ago

We should fund the campaigns of occupiers who will stand up for the 99% like Elizabeth. Help fund the new Occupy PAC:

This is great stuff.

"What I'd like to know is tell me a little bit about the last few times you've taken the biggest financial institutions on Wall Street all the way to a trial," the Massachusetts lawmaker said to applause, speaking to the federal regulators gathered for a hearing on Wall Street reform.

No witnesses spoke up. Warren raised her eyebrows. "Anybody?" she asked. Thomas Curry, head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, spoke up: "We've actually had a fair number of consent orders. We do not have to bring people to a trial..." "I appreciate that you say you don't have to bring them to trial," Warren said. "My question is, when did you bring them to trial?" "We have not had to do it as a practical matter to achieve our supervisory goals," Curry said.

Warren moved on to the rest of the panel, knowing full well that none of the regulators present have brought a Wall Street bank to trial. "I'm really concerned that 'too big to fail' has become 'too big for trial,'" Warren later said.

I will be watching her voting record. I hope she follows through!

She's one of the few good voices in Congress right now.

I thought Anthony W was always willing to speak his mind, hence his scandal.

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

ha that video was pretty awesome. I liked how he dealt with Megyn.

[-] 0 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Dude, he would actually speak like a normal guy, and didnt give a fuck about being all lame and timid. If we put 20 guys like him in Congress, that arent under the D/R banner, all hell would break loose and the people would get the eye opening of lifetime.

Eh, who am I kidding. Obama 2016!!!

[-] -3 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

She is getting pretty aggressive, I smell a sex scandal coming.......
