Yeah, good idea. Thanks.

Why respond to someone you have no interest in speaking to? I've actually had one poster PMing about their hate for another poster they believe is a troll. I was considerate and had a brief exchange with that poster but I'm really not here to waste time in behind the scenes drama.

If you don't like what someone has to say, either ignore them or debate them. It's about freedom of speech and the free flow of ideas.

My advice: Keep it all on the board and on the up and up.

correct - if they are not worth debating ignore them - you know i do not agree with the end the fed idea - any more thoughts on the subject - looked up the populist movement and the history of the fed yet?

[-] 1 points by EndTheFedNow (692) 12 years ago

I know what the history of the Fed is, right back to when it it was chartered.

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 12 years ago

so you know why the populist movement help to force it's creation - do you know why those dirt poor farmers wanted fiat currency - i think that is a very important part of the story - not sure if i said this to you before but control over the fed is the issue not the fed itself - it should be in democratic hands

[-] 1 points by EndTheFedNow (692) 12 years ago

The Fed is a private, for profit corporation. Putting the US money supply in "democratic hands" is what the constitution mandated. We do not need the Fed to create fiat.

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 12 years ago

would you need a central bank - if not who and how would money be created

[-] 1 points by EndTheFedNow (692) 12 years ago

Read the constitution and find out. We've done it before and we can do it again and we don't have to pay a private corporation one cent!

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 12 years ago

doesn't answer my question - i do not worship the constitution or the founding fathers - how would you run a modern society and money system without a central bank - in the old days lots of local and regional banks created their own money - what is your idea?

[-] 1 points by EndTheFedNow (692) 12 years ago

You do not have to worship something to research it. I've read the communist manifesto and I'm not a communist.

I have not been to bed yet. If I were not so tired I might supply you with the information but you can look it up in three minutes.

Don't be lazy.

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 12 years ago

ouch - go to bed but i am thinking you don't have a good answer - the constitution does not supply an answer to the question and it is not a simple solution - when you wake up i would like to see what you are thinking - fiat currency - central banks and the money system is a very complex issue - have you read "debt the first 5000 years" - and no need to say don't be lazy - you have no idea who i am and what work i have put into this

Please advise how to send a private message. I'm relatively new and I'm not sure how to do that on this site.

[-] 1 points by Faithntruth (997) 12 years ago

See how the persons name is blue? Tap/click it and it sends you to a screen from which you can send a private message. I'm sending one to you. I'd don't know if it will go to your email or to your member screen, though.
