Forum Post: Don't Be Caught Unprepared When Widespread Violence Starts!

Posted 12 years ago on Dec. 23, 2011, 2:24 p.m. EST by nowisomega (0)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

The tyrants will soon force you to really fight for your life, liberty, and freedom. This includes them putting food, drinkable water, and shelter from elements increasingly out of reach so that you and your family die. It is already happening to 100 million Americans. The Census Bureau last month released new data on poverty that says 1 in 3, or 100 MILLION Americans at poverty! (source: Seattle Times, "'Near poor' Americans growing, still overlooked" Dec 10, 2011)

Here is what I am doing to prepare and my suggestions. I welcome comments on anything that I am forgetting.

(Unless you are homeless) You and your family should already have a good disaster/emergency kit. I am also stocking up on about 4 weeks of food that won't spoil and requires little or no preparation. I am including lots of morale boosting food like chocolate chips and my favorite granola bars. Because of space limits, I can only store about 3 days worth of water/gatorade. So I am getting a camel-back bladder and a portable water purifier. I keep an extra months worth of critical medication and stuff that I think will be hard to find like toilet paper.

You should arm yourself if you can. I don't think anything is more versatile than a modern, tactical semi-auto rifle. The overall length is hopefully short, for close quarters situations and the ammo is smaller and lighter than say a AK-47. Make sure you have a cleaning kit and ALL members of your family know how to safely use it and safely clean it. Your spouse and/or children might have to use it or at least carry it at some point and they should be able to do it without hurting themselves or others nearby. Stock-piling weapons "Michigan Survivalist" style is totally not necessary. I am preparing to defend my life, not launch an assault! Don't forget ear protection for all family members.

If possible, prepare a space well outside of the city and plan on a water/river/hiking route to get there. If you have relatives you can stay with, or a cabin, get it ready now! The inner cities will be chaos, and so will the roads getting out of the city. If you have a car, I would not count on using it to get very far. Water/boat, aircraft, and on foot will be about the only ways to get out. I don't have anywhere I can go, so I plan on holding down my inner city apartment, rationing goods, and assessing the situation daily.

And start exercising if you don't already!

I hope this helps the good people in America get ready! Because when a huge amount of people must fight and struggle against tyrants to get food, water, and shelter, the situation becomes "life and death." And peaceful resistance is not always possible when tyrants organize to actually harm you and your family’s mental and physical health. In other words, they are trying to kill us and we are FORCED to fight or run for our lives.

This is not a situation we have chosen, but life has put us here. If you live in or near a city, decide and prepare NOW: Are you going to stick it out or are you going to get out?

Widespread violence or state violence?

Solzhenitzyn: "And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door, and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. And you could be sure ahead of time that you'd be cracking the skull of a cutthroat. Or what about the Black Maria sitting out there on the street with one lonely chauffeur--what if it had been driven off or its tires spiked? The Organs (of state) would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!"

actually I'm a lot less worried about the gov'mint itself than I am by some natural disaster that wreaks such havoc it becomes an insurmountable challenge to recover anything like normal in the short term.

We got hit by the remnants of Hurricane Irene at the end of August - and there are folks who have lost everything, and don't yet know quite what to do.

Vermont was barely able to get the road system back in order in prep for the winter - the snow has held off and I think that has helped. Some stretches of road had chasms hundreds of feet deep by over half a mile long - just amazing.

So - stocking up isn't a bad idea - not in the age of global warming.

But I'm not ready to buy into the hysteria regarding FEMA prison camps just yet.

One or two EMP's...and the grid goes down. What do you think happens when/if the grid goes dark?

bwahahaha

the repelican party is DONE by smoke signal

bwahahaha

You need to worry about government Zen. They have always been the enemy.

[-] 1 points by ZenDogTroll (13032) from South Burlington, VT 12 years ago

no they haven't.

It is actually others, never elected, who gain access by virtue of their position in society.

Men like Perkins who are able to sell their ideas like that of eugenics and make them matters of state policy. Perkins was never elected to state office.

Be prepared to accept cannibalism as a way of life too. Hey, food is food.

I think people should be be prepared, but FEMA, the religious who want everyone to drop out of society, and the elite are really pushing consumerism and hoarding a bit too much. More stuff to insure, more storage to buy, more land and resources to use, industries LOVE it when people buy buy buy for the apocalypse.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

Yeah because food, water, shelter, and protection are such outrageous and unnecessary items.....Since when has planning ahead been hoarding? My family has done all these things since before I was born! And Emergency Supplies stores have existed where I live for at least 30 years....

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

My issue is, people consume more when their intention was to be prepared. It is fact, you eat more if you have lots in your cupboard, all the bandaids, etc go dry, unused, how much stuff do people throw away? I think many people end up buying crap that would not help them in a true emergency. I am saying, be aware that the elite LOVE to scare people into spending all their money.

[-] 1 points by Occufridazzle (-19) 12 years ago

I really don't think the elite like the American people to actually prepare and stock up on food and ammo. They do like to scare people but they also understand that most people get drunk and high when they are really scared. People like entertainment when they live in fear. The wise get prepared. I don't think "your" Issues mean shit to anybody but your counselor.

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

The elite will just hire a chemist to dechlorinate their indoor pool water, they will trade their water for your food.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

I have my own water and food. You'd better have something worth bartering for yourself.

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

Whatever. This is almost like people who say this life doesn't matter, your reward is in Heaven. This life Does matter, leave your bunker once in a while, don't think you need more ammo than your neighbor all the time. Be a good citizen NOW.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

Oh please. You haven't got the faintest clue of how or where I spend my time. You have no idea whether or not I'm a "good citizen" or not.

It is because I value "this life" that I intend to protect it and sustain it myself for as long as possible. Some of my neighbors have far more ammo than I do, but they won't be shooting at me because I won't be attempting to take anything that belongs to them.

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

I speak generally. And yes, you and your neighbor will probably be among the first to go to war with each other.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

My neighbors and I will be the first to ban together to protect each other from outsiders who want what we have. You think there are more of you than there are of us. We're already cooperating.

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

Haha, you all will be shooting at each other.

[-] -1 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

So....you think people shooting at each other is funny? That's SUCH a "good citizen" attitude.

Again, you are clueless about who anyone will be shooting at. But continue to arrogantly assume whatever you wish about people you don't know.

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

Take it as a cautionary warning. Of course I don't want you to go to war.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

I'm sorry, but who the hell are you to assume you have the intelligence or authority required to caution or warn someone you don't know about anything?

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

You would LOVE to know.

[-] 0 points by NewEnglandPatriot (916) from Dartmouth, MA 12 years ago

The elite are always ready to go, via escape jets to Geneva and Panama, and a remote spot in Africa....They are way ahead of us, and will leave the military here while we kill each other...

There will be no food or water... Just toilet sewer water...

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

That too. They exploit this country until it collapses, then they take off to the next country.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

SOME people might do that. But not ALL people do.

And the people who will survive don't listen to or cowtow to the elite, or anyone else for that matter.

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

Not necessarily. You might have to cooperate with more than just your immediate family, like society at large. This fear of survival mentality is why the Republicans have any chance to win elections. Surviving three months and surviving 50 years are different situations.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

I get to choose whether or not I'll cooperate with society at large or not. There won't be a "large" society to deal with if they aren't prepared to survive ON THEIR OWN for at least three months because the government won't have the means to "take care of " everyone for very long.

[-] 1 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

You think you have more power on your own than you do. I know there is strength in cooperation.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

You won't be alive to cooperate with anyone if you have no food or water. And no one who only has enough for their own survival or that of their family is going to give you any.

[-] 2 points by BlueRose (1437) 12 years ago

This kind of thinking is what causes wars and ineffective government in the first place. First rule of survival, go tell your neighbors if they need anything, to let you know.

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

You're telling me that you won't have anything to meet your neighbor's needs in the first place.

The US military would sooner stage a coup.

[-] 0 points by NewEnglandPatriot (916) from Dartmouth, MA 12 years ago

I would hope they realize they were sold out before too many are killed needlessly...I think there are more in the military than realized that are still human, despite the brainwashing....Lets hope combat fatigue in Iraq/Afghanistan hasn't set in, and when they are re-activated have flashbacks thinking they are back there....

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

ALL military members pledge an oath to "support and protect the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign AND domestic" and to "bear true faith and allegiance to the same". That is their first priority and commission and the vast majority of them will do that job to the death.

Combat fatigue and flashbacks aside, if OWS does or supports actions that make them a "domestic enemy"-they will react in whatever manner they have to to protect the US Constitution from those enemies.

[-] 0 points by NewEnglandPatriot (916) from Dartmouth, MA 12 years ago

Well defending under NDAA is against the constitution....See the concern here? I hope that Our military under control from the bankers through politicians to president - need to understand that a police state is not what we all wanted. Defend the constitution and freedom - It is obviously a big 3d chess game, (problem reaction solution) and OWS and others are for the constitution, not a police state and losing more freedom; I hope that the military personnel realize what they are about to do, and say wait a minute here.....One can only hope and pray

Great advice, thank you. I see this happening too but I'm not scared, yet.

[-] 0 points by karenpoore (902) 12 years ago

I have been buying extra canned food, etc. for the past year to prepare. I read that most food needs to be stored at 70 degrees and below so that limits our storage area. I hope people are listening here ... Interesting statement about not depending on your car ... do you mean someone will steal it?

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

They won't have to steal your car. If there is no gas to fill it, you'll eventually end up walking. And if other "dead" cars are blocking the roads, you'll end up walking.

[-] 0 points by karenpoore (902) 12 years ago

Oops, did not think about that. Well at least we can get away from the city ...

Buy some junk silver. Gold will not exchange easily. Buy and store non-hybrid seed. Learn to re-load ammunition. Read Patriots by James Wesley, Rawles.

Above all, practice charity when you can. The home you save may be your own.

"The Road"? I think that book did not paint an accurate picture. Reality will be much worse.

Exactly. This information has been available, and these events studied, since the 50's. Not news to anyone except those who never paid attention before.
