There's plenty of politicians who come out of the box claiming to be fighting the good fight with God on their side.
How can you really tell if a candidate has God on their side???
If God is on your side, you NEVER need to tell anyone.
Ask them if God endorse their campaign.
It would be interesting to hear what God had to say.
God is of no importance. The faster we flush this mythical character down the toilet, the faster we can start solving problems using logic and science. A new modern and better world has no room for a magical sky daddy nor his cloud angel helpers. That era of human illogicalities has passed. Our future stands on the shoulders of science.
Those with angel eyes tell angel lies, and angels in the skies are nothing more than angels in disguise.
I have no idea what you mean by "having God on their side". What does this translate to in practice?
God is on everyone's side. Any politician who perversely uses God as part of politics should be banned from government. And shunned by the electorate.
The Repelicans have been successful at perversely using God for their political advantage in order to gain support from Christian Evangelicals. Who cast their vote based on this, at the exclusion of all other rational thought. To support a platform of further deregulation and harmful tax policies.

generally among human affairs the standing principle seems to be that those who proclaim most loudly that God is with them tend to be the biggest liars.
