I am a Republican and I support what the OWS movement people are doing. The fact that something is seriously wrong with this country should be evident to anyone who still has a molecule of functioning brain matter left. Peaceful protests are crucial to awaken people and bring us together to initiate change.

The media, and I mean the WHOLE media has distorted the truth and has so pitted us against one another that real change will never occur until we are able to all come together and form some sort of consensus as to how to fix our problems. Obviously Washington is broken and nothing substantial can be accomplished in the current system.

I don't care if someone disagrees with me, that's the whole point of a free society. But the talking heads and so called pundits have in the last several years made screaming at each other and shouting down other view points seem common and accepted. Nothing will be resolved as long as folks refuse to simply LISTEN to one another and ALLOW the opposition respect.

I don't have the answers, but maybe term limits would be a good place to start. Perhaps then we could root out the entrenched fat cats who feed on our current system and rotate in people who really have a passion for our founding principals. Until then, I say "Occupy!"

I think Americans agree generally on the idea that there is "something wrong" but the solutions are either ineffable or wildly at odds with each other.

I wish they Occupy Congress, Federal Reserve, current president Obama and the presidential candidates that are corrupted.

Yes, if you believe in OWS and you think Obama is your savior or Romney you are MISINFORMED. They are both enemies of the people!

Ron.Paul is the only candidate that has defended the OWS movement and even said Herman Cain was blaming the victims.

"Yes, if you believe in OWS and you think Obama is your savior or Romney you are MISINFORMED. They are both enemies of the people!" They are the status quo. Both Parties are near dog poop. There are only a few good in both parties. I like third party option. The only candidate I like is im afraid ill get censored and this is a free country Ron P* (R) and I like Dennis Kuchinich (D) I like JFK(he got killed) Abraham Lincoln(killed) George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

Both parties make shit seem sweet. Paul & Kucinich are both frauds. No one knows Kucinich better than me. He had me conned for years.

LIBERTARIAN PRINCIPLES

In the late 1970's I became a Libertarian because it made sense to me that people should have the liberty to do whatever they please as long as they don't infringe on the well being of other individuals or groups. Along came people who claimed they were Libertarians who professed the exact opposite.

The first person was Harry Brown who was nominated twice to be the Libertarian Presidential candidate in 1996 and 2000. Harry wanted to wipe out social security. It is not Libertarian to want to destroy people who either can't plan a budget (like the US Congress) or through no fault of their own are destroyed financially like the Enron employees who saved their money for retirement in Enron stock.

Our government wisely forces Americans to save money in the Social Security Trust Fund that is only invested in American Treasury debt securities. That is not welfare.

I began going to Libertarian meetings in NYC on Mulberry Street in 1992. After 4 or 5 meetings I began to realize that I was the only Libertarian at the meetings. Now it appears to me that a group of hard right wing wackos have taken over the control of the Libertarian Party. Here is the official Libertarian platform from their website:

"Libertarians believe the answer to America's political problems is the same commitment to freedom that earned America its greatness: a free-market economy and the abundance and prosperity it brings; a dedication to civil liberties and personal freedom; and a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade as prescribed by America's founders."

There are a few code words in the statement "free-market economy" and "free trade". America is run by the privileged class for the benefit of the privileged class.

When they say "free trade" that is the code word for slave trade. They have put the slaves where we Americans can't see them. Did you guess China? The privileged class still hasn't recognized that their slave trade policy which has made them billionaires while most Americans' wages have declined is an anti-Libertarian trade policy. The slave trade policy has destroyed the middle class consumer and sent him to Walmart to buy Chinese crap.

America's founders did have a slave trade policy so I will be the first to agree that the privileged class has followed the founders trade policy. That is not Libertarianism.

That solves nothing. Oppose all Chinese slave made imports

American hypocrites disregard the terrible lives more than 100,000,000 slaves who work every day with no time off, and only a life of misery to supply Americans with cheaper supplies than they would be if American factories were rebuilt and all those products were made by Americans who earned a lower middle class salary and decent benefits.

If people elected me to represent them in congress I would cause a daily commotion until America followed the constitution that abolished slavery in 1865. Our constitution didn't say to move the slaves to China so American hypocrites couldn't see the slaves but bought the crap at a slightly lower price. That goes double for all Christians who don't follow the teaching of the messiah. No legitimate Christian would take advantage of people forced into slavery and then have the nerve to claim that their lives were better.

Instead American Christians are sucking the blood of the Chinese slaves to get a slightly lower price. That doesn't mean to charge a tariff on those imports. Our constitution forbids importing that stuff, it doesn't allow charging tariffs on it.

That would force the multinationals to spend their $2 trillion cash on financing new factories here or they will have no market because they will have no supplies to sell.
