It's a good day for Anarchists

Harry Reid

Why? Because the government is shut down.

yep, the republican got us fooled into believing the democrats aren't giving health care away to private insurance @TheDailyShow

I do not deny it is not single payer - but with their current bullshit how do you suppose we will ever get there?

[-] 0 points by IrishRevolt (5) 9 months ago

Out of curiosity, have you gone on and signed up, and can give us a breakdown for Vermont? Honest question.

[-] 0 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 9 months ago

with honesty not wait until tomorrow because tomorrow never comes

Apparently telling the poor that they are now forced to buy it is the answer.

If thats the answer then one thing should be very clear- universal is a long, long way off. If the groundswell of Republican hate after the Bush nightmare brought us this, from a unified progressive public going to polls and voicing their displeasure, then they system is truly broken.

[-] 2 points by ZenDog (13422) from South Burlington, VT 9 months ago

HOw disingenuous. If the states sign on the poor won't pay shit.

you repelican liar and crier for hire

[-] 0 points by IrishRevolt (5) 9 months ago

Depends on what your definition of poor is. Have you seen the poverty/ration chart? If you want to go with the government poverty level, I guess those who make 19k a year arent poor?

[-] 0 points by ZenDog (13422) from South Burlington, VT 9 months ago

It's not single payer - if that's your point I agree - but that's not your point.

[-] -1 points by IrishRevolt (5) 9 months ago

Im only saying that forcing people to purchase expensive insurance in an insanely expensive medical field isnt really progress on any level. Its almost a step backwards. What is providing more customers to insurance companies going to change? You yourself said there is no free market. You think they are going to just magically all decide to cabal and lower prices? I doubt it.

[-] -1 points by IrishRevolt (5) 9 months ago

You do realize those with preexisting conditions that need a lot of treatment are going to end up with 6k a year in out of pocket expenses to reach their out of pocket limits? Less if they want to pay the higher monthly premiums.

You do realize this is still insurance, right? Its still ran by insurance companies. Did you think they all of a sudden were going to throw you a bone Zendog?

You gotta love the idiocy.

Some of it really kinda makes me want to cry or something . . . I mean, common. NASA? The Smithsonian?

And then some of it make me just want to get a rope . . .

the CDC or NTSB - are NON ESSENTIAL? In Whose Small Mind Would that BE . . .

[-] 0 points by shooz (17837) 9 months ago

Those small minds, are either drunk, or libe(R)topian.

What better time to "spin off" all those effective agencies to profiteered concerns.

[-] 0 points by ZenDog (13422) from South Burlington, VT 9 months ago

like I said - lets get a rope

[-] 0 points by shooz (17837) 9 months ago

I'm not sure there's enough rope in the Universe for these clowns, but I guess it would be a start.

[-] 1 points by ZenDog (13422) from South Burlington, VT 9 months ago

we can recycle, can't we - hold 'em all in pens, and watch them pee their pants awaiting their turn . . .

 i'm so fukin sick i just can't help myself . . .
[-] 0 points by shooz (17837) 9 months ago

On the other hand, I did find this positive effect of the shutdown.

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/10/02/kkk-rally-cancelled-government-shutdown/

Who the hell thought it would be alright to let these assholes march around at Gettysburg in the first place?

Can we throw them in the pen too?

[-] 0 points by ZenDog (13422) from South Burlington, VT 9 months ago

I should thing we can reserve something special for those who would so desecrate such holy ground as that . . .

[-] 1 points by ZenDog (13422) from South Burlington, VT 9 months ago

NOoooo I do not think that we can say that there is

[-] 0 points by shooz (17837) 9 months ago

Make sure all their TVs only show BET and Tele Mundo?

[-] 0 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 9 months ago

please tell me the government is not shutting down the public access hospitals! that's an essential service right ?

Washington blackmails public employees Accept insurance company extortion or the government shuts down

affluent control aid will pass and we'll be glad not because it is good but that because repubs opposed it

[-] 1 points by ZenDog (13422) from South Burlington, VT 9 months ago

I dunno - the list of services they have shut down reads like they are essential to someone - especially when they include the CDC and NTSB
