they gonna give me shot

I've heard that all my life

the dems don't talk about the poor

only the middle class

[-] 2 points by SteveKJR1 (8) 11 years ago

He thinks the middle class will pull the country out of the depression - not sure how that's going to happen for if it was it already would have.

[-] 2 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Funny how that works isn't it? We all know trickle down economics doesn't work except of course in regards to the trickle effect from the middle class to the poor...

[-] 1 points by conservatroll (187) 11 years ago

well said....being in the middle class is just like being in middle mgt.

[-] 0 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

it's the poors fault because they are lazy?

[-] 1 points by shadz66 (19985) 11 years ago

"How Republicans Went Crazy, Democrats Became Useless, and the Middle Class Got Shafted", by Bill Moyers and Mike Lofgren :

You may want to put "quotation marks" around your comment Matt & you're right - apparently The U$A is unique in not having a "working class" !! Is it because there are only "clowns to the left & jokers to the right" that everyone is "stuck in the middle" ?!

pax et lux ...

thanks have to catch me on vitriol

after that rally, I really am fearful of four more years with either party

No one talks about the poor.

[-] 2 points by engineer4 (331) 11 years ago

Di it not sound a bit hypocritical when he mentioned 10 million dollar checks and the accompanying influence that it brings, while he cavorts with the rich, celebrities etc. so they can throw money at him?

Then he mentioned he has changed. He's right. No longer any hope and change, now just another political hack!

[-] 2 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Is it my imagination or has the dem party reached an all time high with BS? I just saw Robert Reich on Tavis Smiley talking about Glass-Steagall, saying we need it back. I always liked Reich for being straightforward and intelligent but what are the chances that O or Hill will try to reinstate Glass-Steagall even when Bill admitted it was a huge mistake to get rid of it? None. When a party is willing to sacrifice intelligence and caution for the sake of charisma they have little to offer.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

no mention on serious financial reform of the banks

Trying to watch this DNC convention is even more irritating than watching the RNC. With them WYSIWYG. Rahm said, "Obama pulled our troops out of Iraq!" Mmm, yes he did, using the Bush timeline. Whatever Rahm.....

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

Halliburton still in Iraq?

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

I don't know.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

The U.S. troops have left Iraq, and U.S. diplomats will now be the face of America in a country that remains extremely volatile.

The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, along with several consulates, will have some 15,000 workers, making it the largest U.S. diplomatic operation abroad. Those diplomats will be protected by a private army consisting of as many as 5,000 security contractors who will carry assault weapons and fly armed helicopters.

[-] 3 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You gotta admit one thing - they sure do make rousing speeches. To bad that's all.I think they must put something in the water though because the crowd really seemed lost in space with delirium. Where have they been the last almost 4 years?

[-] 1 points by shadz66 (19985) 11 years ago

I ain't admitting, shit ! & They used to say the same about Nuremberg in the 30's !! Harsh but true !!!

They hate the military. They always have. They care more about some poor little Muslim (in gitmo) than they do about our kids dying in some third world shithole. Liberals caring about our children dying is hilarious.
