This debate was strange in Rombot's awkward and inconsistent "agreement" with a predigested list of hawkish current policies.

Think: Who is Rombot going to sway in his favor being consistent with his previous campaign foreign policy statements? Nobody. The Hawks and Authoritarians have been in the bag for any Republicon before Obama even won in 2008. There's no more Votes to gain here.

So who was he appealing to? Dog whistle for malcontents. The ditsy both-same crowd, desperately seeking verification. The millions of newbie brats just looking for justification for their asinine 2010 teabag blunder of petulance. Playing to their peevish political arrested development, Rombot may have hit pay dirt! 2010 deja, deja, deja vu!

Case in point, princess sameness: "Both parties pretty much agree !! And The Empire Grinds On !!!"

RObamaney's latest performance in the 4th and final debate(?) was a further attempt to make up for his leaked comments about the 47% of Americans he wrote off at a private wealth fest dinner. Wonder if he sent any notes around prior to the debate(?) to assure his supporters that it was gonna be all show/snow job to repair what he could with the 47%.

Forum Post: OMG - 4th debate and it was Obama Vs RObamaney

Posted 19 minutes ago on Oct. 22, 2012, 10:52 p.m. EST by DKAtoday (19402) from Coon Rapids, MN | edit | delete This content is user submitted and not an official statement Mod: ban comments threads admin edit remove

1 difference = RObamaney said he could do everything the current administration is doing not increase taxes on the wealthy - support all current programs - do it with less money spend an extra 7 trillion dollars on the military budget and balance the budget = Bravo mittens BRAVO - apparently you can do magic.

Quite the change 4 mittens and his last year of campaigning - he has gone from diametrically opposed to being a twin of Obama ( he missed a little with his spray tan - but that was because he was still a little confused as to who he was at that time - Che(?) Obama(?) Mittens(Who?) ). aAHhahahahaha.....what a joke.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Great debate on bombing 6 nations in 4 years....oops...

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Ok, my question is; why is the Secretary of Defense saying we shouldn't cut the military budget? We need that money to put people to work in this country.

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

It is Panetta's Empire. It is his job to support his Mission. He has to be the chief supporter of the DoD Budget and DoD Strategies. He could get replaced if he didn't. That is why you never listen to the military when they ask for money or submit their budget. The numbers are allways going to come in high. They only time they trim hardware programs is when they get a big budget cut.

[-] 0 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

We'll see what happens after the election. I wouldn't be surprized to see the defense budget cuts get nixed.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Theres a reason they dont let Jill and Rocky on TV. Heads would blow up, jaws would hit the ground, and people would say "Holy shit, where the hell have you been?!!!"

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

No more damn drones! They're bad for public relations.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Romney is a lying piece of shit. He knows nothing about foriegn policy or the military.

R: We have fewer boats than 1917!

O: We also have fewer horses, & now we have things called aircraft carriers where planes land, and boats that go under water.

Priceless!

[-] 2 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

Good one there. Romney is so full of shit.

[-] 3 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Too funny

or what about when Romney said Syria was Irans path to the ocean.

They don't even share a border.!

[-] 2 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

I guess you are right. I didn't really know the geography. I guess Romney is thinking Iran must take part of Iraq to make a port in the Meditrenean...but they already have ports in the Persian Gulf... So the theory is Iran would want to strike targets in the Meditrenean.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Yeah I think there is some value to Iran for use of Syria's access to Med sea, Maybe even value for access to the Syrian border with Lebanon.

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

Its like the US Leap Frog Strategy, Iran provides money and weapons which get flown to Syria, Syria is supposed to fight against Israel and all Iranian Enemies. The Syrian port must be important for Imports and for exporting Iranian influence.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Makes sense. Is Assad gonna fall?

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

I'd Guess so. I feel NATO and the US want him out and probably are helping the rebels. Assad will need resupply from Iran & Russia to keep planes, tanks, missiles, and artillery working. And he must have electricity, communications, computers, and Radar? Plus Assad need support of his government and Military to continue. And Civil War is twice as draining on a country. Seems like the US always said Syria was a weakling. I don't think the West will let Assad stay knowing his weaknesses and knowing how to bring him down.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Doesn't sound good when you say it.

I think Assad (& his father) has been a brutal dictator supported by Russia for 30 years. It is time for him to go, Ifthat hurts thereligious zealots in Iran So much the better.

Here's to hoping the Syrian people get a moderate democratic govt.

Peace.

[-] -1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Come on now. A sitting president has a big advantage on foreign policy issues. They both understood this and decided not to get snarky about it. This was a good debate compared to the others.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Ok.

Romney seemed to flip flop his opinion to now agree with Obama on many foreign policy issues.

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Drones!!!

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

They are now flying them in the gulf and in the Atlantic full time.

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Where are you going to get the money? Good question. Did Romney get the memo this is a foreign policy debate?

[-] 1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Here we go the American exceptionalism bit.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Moderator to Obama: Do the thousands of mercenaries in Iraq qualify as leaving troops there?

Moderator to Romney: Sir, we have bombed 6 nations in 4 years. Are you saying you would bomb even more nations?

(yea right)

Last I heard, the sanctions may be lifted;

The New York Times revealed on Saturday that the Obama Administration and representatives of Iran had agreed “in principle” to bilateral negotiations which suggests that the incumbent president favors a more direct approach. Both Iran and the United States have denied the report, however.

If Mitt Romney wins the presidency, such talks might never be initiated. The Republican has touted a “tough on Iran” message during his campaign and seems willing to use military force to stop their program earlier than Obama would. Romney has also been prone to taking Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s word as gospel on how fast the Iranians are improving their enrichment capabilities.

Whoever wins in November, negotiations remain the only safe way to resolve a problem that has troubled the international community for over a decade. Air strikes and sanctions can only delay the Iranians’ progress.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Who knows what the hell mittens would do in office - he has just now completed another re-birth as RObamaney in the final debate. All we can know for certain - is that he would act in the interests of corpoRATions as he is 1st and foremost a corpoRAT. So whoever offered him a deal - he would take the money work for it in whatever type of concessions would allow more money to reach his pocket - and to Hell with everyone else - till the next deal/money/offer was made to him - then another repeat cycle of the above listed actions even if it goes against the 1st money deal he had made.

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

I know EXACTLY what mittens would do in office
maximize the profits for the 1%
privatize - profitize - crapitalism

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

JP Morgan and Wells just announced record profits for 3rd quarter.

Is that what you mean? Oh, I see, the records would be bigger under Romney. Great plan. The next generation says thanks for nothing.

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

The n Koreans were very good at playing along, and ended up with everything they wanted- weapons and a lot of cash.

I dont think Israel will allow that to happen in Iran. Regardless of who wins the presidency, Israel is the one that determines Iran's fate.

[-] 0 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

mney wants Muslim states to respect the equality of women has he ever heard of Lilly Leadbetter ?

Obama reminds romney about his comment that Russia was our biggest threat

romney pivots to avoid defense cuts via sequestration we need to strengthen our military

both seem very in synch on Syria

Obama: rebuild America, we have cut oil imports, wealthy should pay more tax Romney said that gwb was a good stewad of the economy

R: I know how to create 12,000,000 new jobs & We will have north American energy independence & Balanced budget

R again accuses O of doing an apology tour

O: apology tour is not true - and every fact checker agrees
O: My first trip as a candidate was to Israel - Yad Vashem who is going to be credible in the region.

R: I see Iran 4 years closer to a bomb, Syria in caos, we are not strong enough military

O: in 2008, I said I would get Binladen. Mr, romney - you said to should not be a top priority

O: I stopped Chinese tires from flooding the market; Mr. r said that was a mistake
..............................why does he not mention SENSATA!!!

R: China does not want a trade war; China controls their currency value
I will declare them a currency manipulator & that wont create a trade war O: Mr R - if we took your GM advice, we would be buying all of cars from China . US exports to China have doubled. Our currency is at its best point since 1983. R: I would do nothing to hurt American car companies O: You did not say America should provide money to the car industry
O: Check the records R: America shold not invest in companies O: Check the record - you were very clear - you would NOT provide government aid, cutting research will not help us compete.
Adding $7T is wrong. Giving tax breaks to job exports is wrong
cutting teachers is wrong.
..............................why does he not mention SENSATA!!! R: listing people he met who are out of work

O: we have been digging out of war & economic policies that hurt our country from the last admin. we must ask the wealthy to contribute more. A decade of war is enough. ..............................why does he not mention SENSATA!!!
R: I will get the economy going, NOT towards Greece, 12,000,000 new good jobs

the cnn polling meter showed Obama's close was MUCH stronger

[-] 0 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Rising take home pay. Haha.

[-] 0 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Romney is out of his element here. This election could be very close.

[-] -1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

I still say Obama is the better bullshitter, so he gets it.

Whoever sells more halloween masks is undefeated. Its a popularity contest, because they are both the equivalent of air headed bimbos with no substance.

I dont see Romney selling more masks than Obama haha.

[-] -1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Jill is fuckin destroying these sell outs right now.

[-] -1 points by stevebol (1269) from Milwaukee, WI 11 years ago

Let's not get into hypotheticals. Good answer from Romney.
