There is a bill called H.R.2990 (links at the bottom) which would end the Federal Reserve.
The Fed is a privately owned bank that controls our money by printing it artificially. It would also end the practice known as "fractional banking" which gives banks the ability to lend TEN TIMES more than they have in savings.
The bill would create a new government controlled & regulated currency. Thomas Jefferson did this pre-revolution and it worked amazing until the British stopped it. Abraham Lincoln did this and it worked amazing (and the banks sent an assassin to kill him for it).
We need the Federal Reserve ended and a new currency. The Federal Reserve creates surplus of money and it causes inflation. This is why we need the amount limited and controlled so the prices stay down!

yes end the fed but this bill just creates an agency almost exclusively picked by the executive branch, with the authority to inject new currency into the economy. It does the same thing that the fed has been doing without needing congress to ask it to. Except for ending the practice of fractional banking and a loan fees and interest cap that limits the amount you can owe to twice the original loan amount, there is little to be excited about.
What does Rep. R. Paul say about this proposed bill?
