Forum Post: Corporate Overlords Forbidding Broadcast News from Giving Deserved Coverage to OWS – a Quick Survey?

I watched NBC Nightly News from Wednesday, October 19 thru Sunday, October 23. On these five days, there was only one small segment on OWS or its offshoots. This took place on the Saturday show, which has a relatively small audience as compared to the weekday broadcasts. The segment was a derogatory piece about a seemingly eccentric New York protestor, who was arrested after climbing and staying on a sculpture. The segment then had a very brief segue to an Occupy demonstration in Europe.
There are some obvious questions:
Are the corporate overlords of NBC Nightly News forbidding their newscasters from presenting information on OWS that is due and proper?
What would be the reaction of NBC management if they were presented with a charge like this?
Are the managers of the other broadcast networks doing the same thing?
Has anyone begun compiling lists of advertisers of broadcast news shows?

Maybe, I don't know. It's a safe bet that all the mainstream "news" hacks are liars, propaganda artists and spinmongers, and that has proven to be the case with very few exceptions.
The arrests that violate the intent of laws in order to suppress a constitutionally protected activity is pretty freakin newsworthy, I'd say....

Is OWS listening in on this conversation? This sounds like a GREAT idea for a new committee to work on.
