Hedges isn't with Occupy. He has other things to do like sue the president over the NDAA 2012. He suggests that OWS should galvanize over a single issue such as raising the minimum wage to $10 an hour.

Chris Hedges, and I've been following it very closely, is 'with' Occupy in the sense that he supports it, but is not a 'member' of Occupy. (I'm not even sure what it means to be a 'member' of Occupy, but that's a slight digression). He's pointed out how when he speaks and writes about OWS it's always in the third person.

He's been, and continues to be, extremely supportive of OWS, but only as it being a non-violent passive resistance movement unless it absolutely becomes necessary to defend physically. Which he, and I believe the vast majority of people, believes we're not there yet. His experience with revolutions around the world, suggestions/tactics, fighting back against the NDAA, etc., are invaluable, and I've never found any reason for him to be considered an unreliable source of information or to be full of sh@# (shit).

Thanks for posting this video. Hedges understands Occupy very well and what he has to say is important.
