Forum Post: Choosing New Masters Doesnt Make You Free

They are gearing up for another round of "We'll Save You From the Other Guy".

What would we all do without a couple of 150+ year old organizations filled with corruption, racism and greed to lead us through our lives?

The further back you look into them, the more horrific it gets.

Check out this guy getting blatantly set up by undercovers. They did the same shit to occupy:

http://www.news10.com/story/22913630/scotia-business-owner-cleared-of-drug-charges-by-surveillance-video-informant-missing

And yet we still have some who are clamoring to be saved, clamoring that if THEIR masters are chosen, then the skies will part, the sun will shine and the NEW masters will be more respectful than the old ones.

95% re-election rate in this system. Think about that. How can we bitch when that is what we do?

"The only solution is world revolution." Good post. You are quite right.

Which is exactly why the Green Party, the Justice Party and Libertopians are so funny. But, this would be an issue. Issues are bad. You have to stay away from the issues.

Oh, no wait. Everybody else must stay away from the issues except the circle.

For every article like that on Truthout stating the truth on Republicans, theres one pointing out the corruption of Democrats.

They are all weak, in regards to teh power of the people.

Being desperate to be led is not going to get us out of this. The votes are counted in secret. Wake up.

"Wake up." Don't count on that happening anytime soon.

But at least some of us 'old guys' get it. Here's an article linked by shadz earlier on another thread. Definitely worth a read:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/jul/25/democratic-establishment-nsa

"One of the worst myths Democratic partisans love to tell themselves - and everyone else - is that the GOP refuses to support President Obama no matter what he does. Like its close cousin - the massively deceitful inside-DC grievance that the two parties refuse to cooperate on anything - it's hard to overstate how false this Democratic myth is. When it comes to foreign policy, war, assassinations, drones, surveillance, secrecy, and civil liberties, President Obama's most stalwart, enthusiastic defenders are often found among the most radical precincts of the Republican Party."

Amen.

The guy passed a Republican healthcare plan, an absolute disaster written by the insurance companies and big pharma,...

Say hello to the Y2K Reagan. Another professional actor.

Yep. Did you catch that Guardian article? Another good quote:

"So the history of Democratic leaders such as Nancy Pelosi isn't one of opposition to mass NSA spying when Bush was in office, only to change positions now that Obama is. The history is of pretend opposition - of deceiving their supporters by feigning opposition - while actually supporting it."

And it's not just about NSA spying. It's the whole modus operandi of DC. "Pretend opposition." Maybe some day enough fools will finally figure it out, but I'm not holding my breath.

Definitely read the article if you get the chance, but it's pretty much just preaching to the choir.

I think cigarettes are only able to momentarily relieve the desire to strangle someone. Not completely though. Just enough, yanno? Perhaps it's because there is knowledge that it's only a matter of time before you run into another moron. You have a type A personality?

I'm doing well.

Ha!

I thought I remembered Type B people being more gregarious, very extroverted, less intense or thoughtful. Now, that I am reading the link.......I can see that I have it wrong.

Pretending you didn't, doesn't either.

[-] 1 points by TikiJ (-38) 10 years ago

I did. I'm just as guilty as you. We are all guilty, and we all need to be shaken back to reality of who we are and what we can accomplish.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

I keep trying, but really you don't want to.

You've been asleep to long.

Pretesting is only part of the solution.

Waiting for the "great collapse", serves only those you are protesting.

Lose your fear.

Get involved.

I see what I can do.

Alex Jones doesn't count.

Damn, I guess thats all their is.

Maybe this is something that can be pursued on some level:

Three and a half years ago, Jesse Haff -- the cool kid down the street who introduced me to SimCity when I was eleven years old -- joined NationBuilder as co-founder, lead designer and employee #2. I had been coding for months and couldn't wait to get him started designing with our theming system.

Since those early days of just the two of us, NationBuilder theming has been used to create thousands of sites, and today there are over 30 firms certified as NationBuilder Architects.

But there's one thing that Jesse has politely begged for since that first week: the ability to use the text editor on his Mac instead of the editor built into the browser.

Finally, on a hack day, in a beautiful moment of compassion, Charlie created a prototype. Months of tweaking and beta-testing later and it is finally ready. Introducing.... theme-sync-logo.png It's a Mac app that will let you download a theme to your computer and automatically upload any changes you make to the templates when you save them. So you can use your favorite text editor and see your changes within a second or two. It makes developing themes much faster and a lot more fun. Download the app

But wait, there's more! In addition to being able to copy and share themes across nations, Lauren has built a feature that allows you to copy and share entire sites as well. This is particularly useful if you are a designer who wants to develop the site structure for a client on your own nation and then copy it over, but there are many uses: Nonprofits can offer subnations to all their chapters with a pre-built site and theme. Political parties can do the same for all their candidates. Universities for all their local alumni groups, etc. Just go to Site Settings > Sharing to check it out. More details here.

We continue to invest a lot of time and effort into growing the NationBuilder community. We love you! Some of the most talented designers, consultants and developers are even starting their own companies just to serve leaders using NationBuilder. It's an exciting time, and I can't wait to see all the new sites, themes and apps the community will create.

I'm also happy that Jesse's life just got a bit easier...and that SimCity 5 will be out for the Mac in a couple of weeks. :)

Thanks for being a part of NationBuilder.

OIC

Simcity as reality.

That's your worst deflection yet....

I see most of the MSM is abuzz over it though.

Must make you proud to play a part..

[-] 1 points by TikiJ (-38) 10 years ago

You could do a lot of good stuff with NAtionBuilder with the amount of time you have.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

If I join, will you stop hopping around like cricket being chased by a cat?

I may have time to fiddle with it later, if that's the case.

[-] 1 points by TikiJ (-38) 10 years ago

Do what you want. I'm not your master.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 10 years ago

You sure do try pretty hard to be that though.

Try and stop hopping around. It would be very useful, if you did.

[-] 0 points by TikiJ (-38) 10 years ago

I dont want to. And I dont want your masters either. Its your- and many many many others- lust for masters that has caused all of this.

You should be for democracy, not masters.

http://gawker.com/manatees-are-dying-off-and-florida-is-determined-to-sp-489114098

( more libe(R)tarian stuff in your backyard)

More bullshit from you.

It was YOU looking for a master in the last election. So disappointed in what your master (R)epelican'ts gave you for choices.

I do remember that.

Please show me where I asked for a master?

I didn't hear a word from you about that application of tyranny in Michigan.

I posted many threads on the subject, expressing my desire to see Democracy used instead of libe(R)tarian tyranny.

You know, the small government kind you love so much?

So shove your latest lie up your lying ass.

ALEC, destroying democracy, one state at time.

Unfortunately, they already pretty much own Florida.

I don't want it spread any farther. You do.
