Gar Alperovitz - Interview with David Barsamian - Jan 2012
Gar Alperovitz is Professor of Political Economy at the University of Maryland and co-founder of the Democracy Collaborative. He is the author of numerous books, including "Making a Place For Community," and "America Beyond Capitalism."
This is the kind of thing we should be discussing here on this forum. Alperovitz has a deep historical perspective of how political and economic change really takes place from the bottom up. He is optimistic that the much needed changes can take place because he believes the foundations are already there for democratizing the ownership of production.
