Bankers and corporate CEO's should be held accountable for our present economic crisis, but it was our politicians (both Democrats and Republicans) that enabled these gangsters to operate freely. I suggest we boycott both Republicans and Democratic candidates on election day and vote a third party candidates of our choice. There are several alternatives that cover our entire polictical spectrum. Refuse to vote for any Republican or Democrat on the ballots. Think THIRD PARTY. Break our "so called 2 party system"

Until we fix this system of legalized BRIBERY also known as lobbying this country will never ever be the place we dreamed that it could be. The only people in this country with a voice are the 1%ers and they have no allegiance to any specific political party! They simply Play both sides

You're right, the so-called 2 party system does not exist, what remains is a 2-headed monster that feeds on corporate cash at our expense. On election day........THINK THIRD PARTY!

Exactly, the corruption and greed is running rampant and needs to be stopped, lobbying has to be made illegal or the system will stay corrupt

There's no doubt about it but they've done it all over the world, placed their people on both sides of the coin so it doesn't matter which way the pendulum swings! It's happening in the US and in every country in Europe, in Africa, you name it... there they are... fooling us all. We're screwed from the left and we're screwed from the right because the government, corporations, bankers are all under one umbrella: the Bilderbergers.

Technically, bankers and corporate CEO's just followed the direction of government, and as usual profited off of it. Stop blaming the wrong people. Blame the corruption in government.

[-] 1 points by jalauretta (6) 12 years ago

You missed my point, the corruption of the politicians is what made it possible to destroy our ecomomy. I am blaming the government, but really, how can you say CEO's follow anything but the money into their bank accounts. The intense greed along with regulations being lifted are what caused this problem, corporations and CEO's left to regulate themselves is insane and yes they can take the blame too. If a group of guys robs a bank, but had a leader guiding them, you don't say the leader is guilty, but the guys robbing were just following orders, they robbed too!

i agree, we need to get rid of the oligarchs- all of the oligarchs- and form a new party.

Break it. Flush it. Forget about it (fogedabotit)..!!

Until its broken, nothing will change. If not now, then when? If not us, then who?

I am down with doing away with the two party system, but far too many people feel loyalty to a party because they believe the lies they have been fed and spout off the talking points recited by their favorite propaganda network. Most posters here are die hard Dems and will only vote Dem, no matter what they do while many of the detractors here are obviously die hard Reps and are just as brain washed. It is so much easier to believe in a party and let them think for you rather than go out and make informed decisions on your own.
OWS is just another example of this kind of group think. So many individuals trying to be different, in a group of individuals trying to be different, all with the same goals and same talking points.
