One of the articles makes a sideline comment about the 2-party system. I completely fail to understand why more Americans cant see that this institutionalized monstrosity is one of the main problems with our government. Most other free countries around the world have parliaments, not 2-party legislatures. Parliaments allow for multi-party representation proportional to the public vote. Also, heads of state such as Prime Ministers are tied more to parliments than our Presidential island that, once elected, can remove himself from the will of the people if he so chooses. This is the danger with men like Romney. If money can buy these types of men into power, there is nothing to prevent them from signing executive orders and such that will steer the ship of State in the direction of favoring a Plutocracy. With a parliamentary form of government, such actions are not as easy since a Prime Minister's authority is limited to a degree by making him subject to the parliamentary legislative body and thus, by that association, to representatives of the people.

America is not progressive. Wants to relive in past glory days. Does not like to evolve politically. The two parties have a lock on power. Why would they want to open it up to competition. They are protectionist, monopolists.

Yes, it is Center-Right, so we are screwed.

Exacltly. Most are center or right. Right Equates center and left with communism, and mainstream media doesn't call them on it. That's why we have corporate fascism.

When I face these realities in moments of quiet contemplation, I sometimes get discouraged and wonder wtf I'm doing on this site. But then, when my sanity returns I realize the fight is more important than whether or not there is victory. This will be a very, very long fight against institutionalized corruption. Somehow, Occupy needs a new/better strategy. What is the strategy other than protest? How can it reach millions and get them to WTFU like the Samuel L. Jackson video? If Romney is elected I feel Occupy is doomed. Should I feel that way? Help!!!!!!

No - you should not feel doomed - you should feel - Like I do - that you are in the fight of your life - as is everyone - whether or not they are aware or are taking part - YET.

Well, a few billionaire's, after their butts were saved by the people, and Obama, and Congress, feel under appreciated, and dislike it when someone with a bully pull pit, say Obama, says the wealthy ought to pay same marginal rate as a secretary.

So they write letters and make statements he is akin to Hitler.

Romney is the one acting like Hitler, getting all boisterous about Iran, and getting his base primed for war and profits.

War Enriches profit seekers.

So they dislike the class war language. Makes them feel a bit guilty.

Vote third party to change system.
