With all the layers of deception by USG/TPTB, perhaps we know little about the size of ISIS and what it is doing.

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

1000 < ISIS crew size < 1,000,000,000. ISIS is building a caliphate drawing on the Old Glory of the Islamic Empire which spanned from Spain through North Africa, Arabia, Central and South Asia to China and India. In building its fighting force, ISIS uses the U.S. strategy of "E Pluribus Unum"!

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

In the view of ISIS, Jews are infidels but Muslims not of their ilk are apostates. On the long line to the guillotine, apostates get priority in the establishment of the caliphate. Besides, in the event of war with Israel, ISIS may lose its various territories which must be held to establish a caliphate.

Interesting comments. Does it seem that it is as simple as Sunni vs. Shia? Are other factors significant, and are there only two real camps?

The world cannot tolerate any religion that claims they have no choice but to kill infidels because their god said they must.

[-] 2 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

It is far more complicated than Sunnis vs. Shiites. Oil, wealth, class, oppression, greed, corruption, collusion, Quran, Bible, Talmud, land, water, geography, etc. ALL play a role. Abraham's God surely blessed Jerusalem as the Navel of the World with much fermenting lint gathered there. How about 2 to the n-th power real camps?

The world tolerated such religions for millennia - I don't see how that will change, short of epiphany of all of Abraham's descendants.

[-] 2 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

Let's hope for an epiphany of all Abraham's descendants. The world is rapidly changing and religions are on the way out. Not necessarily spirituality but traditional religions despite millennia of history are decreasing in numbers. Reason is gaining ground and must overcome religion, greed, cheating, etc, and especially power. Evil power from capable people will be our most difficult foe. That's why Equality matters.

If Saint Peter can reconcile the Jews with the Gentiles to form Christians, we may be able to unite more religions once peoples realize the essence of reality - beliefs based on information.

[-] 1 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

Peter and the other disciples were Jews, as were all of the early followers. Most of the Jews were not reconciled with the Gentiles to form Christians, although Christianity spread everywhere and certainly included additional Jews.

The essence of reality resulting in beliefs based on information is Reason, which humans are capable of choosing.

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

Eventually Christianity achieved independence from Judaism by including the Gentiles.

Beliefs based on information is not necessarily Reason although they can be. I think for Reason to reign, we must gain the humility or wisdom to know that our information is always limited. Yep, to know that we don't know is the highest knowledge.

[-] 1 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

It's easy to agree that our information is limited making perfect conclusions difficult if not impossible. During my life I have changed from ending the discussion with the highest knowledge being unattainable, although I humbly admit it has always been true. If God is Love...all things are possible. Knowledge may increase as we grow spiritually.

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

That is correct. As we grow wise, we KNOW that ALL things are possible with only one condition - thou shalt have Faith. The foundation of physics says similarly about changes, don't keep on looking or nothing will happen.

US citizens believing Semite humans are backward and in need of rescue

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

Physical law says that one must resonate with the same frequencies to interact, interfere, or amplify. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all sprouted from the same Abrahamic tradition so we must communicate with the same frequency to promote mutual understanding and stop the wars.

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

I offer a Biblical escape from this cycle of violence. Think about whether Cain was vegetarian after he had murdered his brother Abel who kept animals. Saint Peter the disciple justified eating the non-kosher unclean animals while he was with the Gentiles. He also argued against circumcision being an impediment to the spread of Christianity. He took the view that Christianity was about beliefs, NOT about the particular manifestations, meats or vegetables, kosher or non-kosher, or circumcised or not.

Modern science says that we are all eating quarks and leptons, agreeing with Saint Peter's view.

[-] 2 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

The analogy concerning Peter is good and I agree that he was saying that particular manifestations, rituals, and habits were not what was important. Belief, and ultimately faith, was most important.

Cain's sacrifice wasn't pleasing to God, as God wanted blood sacrifices from animals, such as Abel's. I have never understood why a god with supernatural power desired sacrifices, or worship, or would have a "chosen people". Why was God jealous, vengeful, and upset with the thought of humans eating from the Tree of Life, and living forever? I'm aware Adam and Eve disobeyed and ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, thus acquiring a new knowledge. Why did the tree exist at all? The Bible also says, "God is Love", and that makes sense to me.

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

I believe that God was NOT jealous, vengeful, or upset with the thought of humans eating from the Tree of Life, thus living forever. God was giving Adam and Eve Freedom by planting both trees. It was the Experiment which intrigued God.

The price of planting only the Tree of Life is the lack of Freedom so God holds Freedom more dearly than eternal Life. The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil gave Adam and Eve further chances to achieve Good. Hence, God still wants to give them second, third, fourth, etc. chances to achieve Good. That makes sense if God is Love as stated. There were the seeds of Good: Abraham, Noah, etc. Their Good stems from their beliefs.

[-] 1 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

The Bible indicates God wanted Adam and Eve to obey and punished them when they didn't, including driving them from Eden and guarding the Tree of Life. Whatever Adam and Eve learned caused God to remark that man had become like us, and must not be allowed to live forever. The Experiment may involve creating a natural being capable of also creating Love!

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

With the Fall of Man, Time which is really an illusion came into being. Eternal Life not having been chosen means Eventual Death through Time but it is really STILL there with childbirths. We can gain wisdom and become like gods but new suckers must be born to replace us. It was God's revenge, I suppose, so that our children whom we love may break our hearts in the same way that Adam and Eve broke God's heart. Freedom and Justice will only be spanned by Love. Make fur (to replace their leaf) underwears for the children to make them not feel ashamed of their likeness to God.

[-] 1 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

Eternal Life was lost, or not chosen, because of disobeying, or whatever was learned when they knew they were naked. God said they had become like us, which changed everything, and could not eat of the Tree of Life. The fact that the forbidden fruit came from, "The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil," indicates an absence of this consciousness before the act.

Moses wrote a fascinating story, unprovable by humanity but millions believed it to be true. It should be expected that God could easily deny humans the ability to understand, citing your reference to us humbly acknowledging we do not nor can know. Enter Faith.

Good and Evil do exist as we know. Do we as humanity wait for God to solve problems that we are apparently powerless against? If God is Love, and it may be that simple, could we use Love to win against evil? Would that be evolving toward spirituality? I hope we can become part of the spirit world, heaven sounds great.

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

No one needs to wait for God because we all came from God, didn't we if we have Faith? Didn't God say that Adam and Eve had become like gods?

Weren't the ancient Greeks not ashamed of their nakedness or their reproductive organs? Weren't they blessed with many cultural breakthroughs?

Leonardo Da Vinci attended to depicting and understanding Living Bodies with great loving care. The lifelike quality sprouted from the tremendous eidetic details. The Devil is in the details but so is Life itself. When we truly transcend with Love, Evil will no longer exist because it is a state of mind.

Saint Peter can eat meats believing that they are really grasses and not be bothered but he will eat only plants when he is with vegans so as not to bother their minds. Eating meats in the presence of vegans IS evil, not because of the act inherently, but because of the troubled minds of the vegans.

media depicts these people as religious zealots so we are justified ruling them

[-] 2 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

Why do we even want to rule them? There is, of course, a big discrepancy between U.S. and ISIS views of the borders. ISIS uses ancient islamic caliphate's borders but the U.S. uses the colonial legacy borders. Conflicts are inevitable.

kings

these people are reduced to mid evil ideas

I can not help but suspect western propaganda

seeks to reduce their stature and created this simplification

What simplification?

Humans seek survival and prosperity

[-] 2 points by grapes (5232) 8 years ago

Perhaps John McCain et al of the U.S. Congress were funding ISIS per Nevada1's reminder. Then the U.S. stopping to fund ISIS to sufficient level or due to ISIS crossing into Iraq triggered the fallout between the U.S. and ISIS so its humans seeking survival and prosperity went on the road of conquests to establish a caliphate. Of course, all of these are just speculations subject to verification or falsification.

Bank teller asked me about my Fourth of July

I told him we made 28 air strikes
