"Here he is in 1974, as the 32-year-old candidate for U.S. Senate of a fledgling leftist party in Vermont called Liberty Union: "A handful of banks and billionaires control the economic and political life of America. ... America is becoming less and less of a democracy and more and more of an oligarchy.""

There must exist a plan for dealing with Bernie Sanders. Are the elites having discussions while wringing their hands and their voices trembling, worried that voters will agree with the obvious popular truths that Bernie speaks about? Yes there are many that still have a two income household and continue to find their lives comfortable enough. Some of them think they might eventually become wealthy themselves. Their retirement plans look pretty good! The threshold has now been crossed however and there are now too many suffering to not pay attention to Sander's message if allowed. Democracy under those circumstances would be devastating to the PTB if the masses were informed and voted together.

The media could create a "no way in hell" mentality towards voting for Bernie, and Hillary would be ordained for the dems. Timing, negative messages, etc, would need to be right and other manipulating factors but Bernie as President would be a true miracle. Do you agree the elites have a plan? The establishment that controls both parties is a combination of corporate, (business), and politicians entrenched in the establishment. They intend for this election to turn out as they want it to, which does not include Bernie being president. What is their plan?

Bernie can win.

At one point over 70% of the American people supported the message of OWS.

We can do this, all we have to do is tell the truth.

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

I remember the popularity of OWS nearing 70% and was very excited the revolution was about to force change in the political process.

I am registered as NPA, NO Party Affiliation, so I can't vote in a primary. If Bernie or Warren is on the dem ticket, I will vote for them. Please don't attempt to convince me that Hilary is almost as good, that is exactly what I expect and I will vote 3rd party.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

If you can let the GOP win and live with yourself that's on you and if filling out a form keeps you from supporting real change, that's just sad.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

Yep - show the truth of the issues - just like Bernie and Elizabeth. No politi-speak allowed. Voting records would be a useful guide to show who is working against the people and show who is trying to support the people.

Throw it in their faces in Black&White - nothing ambiguous.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

and don't forget the GOP exists to make the rich richer, that truth should always be front and center, make them answer the charge, and Bernie makes the point extremely well, the people will rally behind that I think

Independents can't vote in the primary election in many states. They can't in New York State. They still could if they change their registration to D,but they have a way to block that, too. In Upstate New York counties that are controlled by R's,your name will be removed from the rolls if you're poor and you try to register for any election as a D.How do they know? If you live in a poor area, they know.If they're not sure, all they do is check to see if you own the property where you live.Where I live,I can't get my name on the rolls at all.Period.Well heeled citizens who might sue their ass can register as they please. The Democratic Party knows all about this. They don't give a crap about precincts where they aren't competitive. No way would they ever sue local R's to make them stop it.D's frequently don't even bother to run candidates here.Certainly they don't want a fair primary. They'll never do anything about it.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Conspiracy crap like this is supposed to be banned.

[-] 0 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 8 years ago

Are saying that my description of my experiences attempting to register and vote in Upstate New York are actually Diabolic Lies that I am planting here for some reason,no reason or any reason? If so,why not come out and say it directly? Or else reveal how it is you have firsthand information about what kinds of conditions exist IN ANY PART of New York State in reference to ANY circumstance, situation or person?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

So your name was removed from the rolls? and have you told anyone about this?

[-] 0 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 8 years ago

You know-you're right.I could try to make trouble over at Town Hall. The people who do this stuff work there. They could possibly get in trouble. Then their RELATIVES,who work at all the other Town departments could:1) send the codes department to find codes violations on my property 2) send an assessor to reevaluate the rate of my property taxes 3) stop reliably picking up my garbage 4) arrange for the water district to find a reason to condemn any or all of my wells 5) make sure huge mountains of snow are so securely wedged into the entrance of my driveway that they can't be moved...And there may be OTHER THINGS they can do that I don't even know about..."Republicans"

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

I think you're full of shit and I don't believe your name was removed from the rolls, in any case if it were and you let it slid you're just an idiot.

are we still discussing the parties ?

[-] 0 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 8 years ago

I can't think of anything to say about them.My trip to NYC left me with a very favorable impression of the Socialist Alternative Party, many of whose members I met, including the famous Kshama Sawant, who I was fortunate to hear speak at a church on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. This was an event co-sponsored by Occupy Wall Street and was very interesting. The methods used by the D/R "parties" to squeeze 3rd parties out were mentioned, but not discussed much because who cares? Change will never come from them, and everyone knows it.

[-] 0 points by mdonelly (324) from Mineola, NY 8 years ago

Well put, but I think you were a little too easy on him.

[-] 0 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 8 years ago

I don't have it in me to hate DK,no matter what. This other person I actually detest/hate/despise/etc. and I'm SO GLAD an entire continent of the Extra Large Variety lies between us.I'm just really, really glad of that.

"New York State has one of the most unforgiving rules in the country when it comes to eligibility for voting in party primaries. Anyone who wants to vote in the 2013 Democratic mayoral primary — and all of the anticipated major candidates are Democrats — but is not affiliated with a party (like Mr. Bloomberg), or wants to switch parties (as Mr. Bloomberg once did), must take action almost a year before the actual vote."

“The situation here in New York is yet another manifestation of the stranglehold that political parties have on election administration — a stranglehold which is choking our democracy,” said Susan Lerner, executive director of Common Cause New York. “Most people don’t pay attention until, at best, a month before the election — that’s just the way life is lived in the 21st century. This, however, is an apparatus from the 19th century.”

Please, why don't you quote Michele Bachman again? Calling all of us Republicans as you struggle to screw up this election for Hillary is the absolute funniest thing. You're a genius.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

What I say is that you elect Republicans, that you hate dems and work to defeat them, that you are ego whores that would see the planet brun to warm your vanity but I NEVER called you Republicans, that would be going too far.

oh and I imply that you are stupid as shit because you seem to be fine with the GOP winning

and not a peep about anybody's name being removed from the rolls

thanks

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 8 years ago

That is an example of how sophisticated the political process has become in order for the two party system remains easy to handle. I'm registered as No Party Affiliation so I can only vote in the general election. I live in a "safe" repub district and some races are uncontested. Thanks for that example you gave, it's one of the worse I've seen.

[-] 0 points by trashyharry (3084) from Waterville, NY 8 years ago

They are working together to make sure there are only 2 parties.Makes perfect sense from a Gangster perspective

[-] 0 points by MattHolck0 (3867) 8 years ago

bankers control the cash flow though sources that may be turn on and off at will

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

about the only thing the people still own is their vote, I hope we use it wisely, before it's too late

[-] 0 points by MattHolck0 (3867) 8 years ago

people own their actions and their voice

no need to wait or give those up to a vote

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

I guess if people can't be bothered to vote, they can at least use their voice to bitch. Of course if people got off their asses and used their votes wisely they could do more than bitch they could actually change things.

stop air striking targets

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

I suppose staying home and letting the 1% pick who decides who to bomb will get that job done in your opinion, I feel differently I think one must engage if one hopes to change things.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

Yes lets stick our heads in the sand and let the GOP win, that's a hell of plan!

[-] 0 points by turbocharger (1756) 8 years ago

Refusing to elect wall st cronies is not putting someone's head in the sand.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

But you love the Wall Street cronies, them keeping their money is a big concern of yours, you wouldn't want the government to tax them would you?

Forum Post: Bernie Sanders Has Had Consistent Message for 4 Decades

And yet - all you will hear is people trying to tear him down - note the advocates on this site "for doing nothing" tear into him on a regular basis - yet you will never see them tear into the actively evil that are currently in office or who are also running for office (unless it is a toothless comment from them to try to provide cover for themselves).

Nope - all one will hear from those mutts - IS - Take no action other than protest in the streets - because the people can't own the system and only by protest alone can change be made. They fail to state that the change they are advocating for - IS - for jade helm to be implemented on a validly protesting population. Which is more likely than not - if people listen to their take no political action BS and just protest and get angrier over time and into more incidents of riots - because the people did not unite at the same time as protesting to legally remove the actively evil from our governments = state and fed.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

There are Green Party hacks that have working this forum from the beginning they are pure ego whores who care nothing about what actually happens they just want to build their political party like all hacks.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

Nah - you flatter them by calling em green party - they don't want to build anything - they want people to do nothing.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 8 years ago

I believe they are power hungry ego whores who would love to be made King, thank god they are stupid....

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 8 years ago

Yes - they are stupid - as they support their en-slavers - the 1% - so yes they are whores - worse - they are Judas Goats.
