  1. Rally around and implement a constitutional amendment to get money out of politics,

"No person, corporation or business entity of any type, domestic or foreign, shall be allowed to contribute money, directly or indirectly, to any candidate for Federal office or to contribute money on behalf of or opposed to any type of campaign for Federal office. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, campaign contributions to candidates for Federal office shall not constitute speech of any kind as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution or any amendment to the U. S. Constitution. Congress shall set forth a federal holiday for the purposes of voting for candidates for Federal office."

  1. Get a law passed for total public campaign financing to all federal candidates who obtain sufficient petition signatures and/or votes to get on the ballot and participate in the primaries and/or electoral process.

  2. Require new FCC regulations granting free air time to all federal candidates for elected office.

  3. Pass a law where members of the United States House of Representatives shall be limited to serving no more than four two-year terms in their lifetime. Members of the United States Senate shall be limited to serving no more than two six-year terms in their lifetime.

  4. Ban politicians from becoming lobbyists for 10 years after they leave office.

  5. Adopt California's Proposition 20 nationwide and end gerrymandering by politicians and turn the drawing of congressional districts over to citizen committees.

  6. Create a fair and progressive tax code. The marginal tax rate ought to be raised to 50 percent on income between $500,000 and $5 million, 60 percent on income between $5 million and $15 million, and 70 percent on income over $15 million. There should be a 2 percent annual surtax on all fortunes over $7 million. Eliminate loopholes in the federal tax code, unfair tax breaks, exemptions and deductions, subsidies (e.g. oil, gas and farm) and end all tax havens. Tax financial transactions at one percent.

  7. End too big to fail. Break up the biggest banks. Ban derivatives trading. Immediate reenactment of the Glass-Steagall Act.

  8. Leave Afghanistan immediately. Reduce the military budget by half.

  9. Medicare For All. Give MEDPAC greater authority to drive down prices.

  10. Create a government/business "Manhatten Project" to create clean energy.

  11. Keep Social Security solvent for generations by raising the ceiling on income subject to the Social Security tax to $200,000. Currently, $106,800.

  12. To increase prosperity for future generations offer free public education through 6 years of college

What you have proposed, with the exception of the high tax rates as listed in item no 6, seems logical and reasonable. The remaining section of item 6 - closing loopholes - is very important because that is exactly what widens the gap and forces hard-working people pay for many luxuries for the rich.It is imperative to disallow lobbying through a financial avenue of our federally voted-in politicians. Many local political systems already have voted this type of system, so it is viable.

Also in agreement are the items discussing education and clean energy. Both of these areas are forward long-term thinking and that is something today's politicians fail to consider. Clean energy requires federal funding to be removed from the dirty coal industry and transitioned to clean energy developers. The power grid needs to be owned by the people of this country and not a power company.

It may be worth discussing a provision to repeal votes, or to remove a politician who fails to honor their campaign promises, i.e. votes against what the constituency wants because large contributions or promises come from bad people such as the Koch brothers.

The OWS movement is important; however, it does need to be much better organized to gain and sustain credibility.

Job boom plan for America

For the protest to guarantee winning the next election the plan needs to be force the multinationals to buy all their supplies only made by American workers. Prevent any imports from China and known slave states from being unloaded. The 13th amendment abolished slavery. Having slave made goods in America is unconstitutional.

Unions should have their own pay scale. Any workers who don't want to join the union will need to negotiate their own pension, their own wages, their own health care. Workers who refuse to pay dues need to be penalized, not rewarded. Let the scabs get screwed and they might get the message.

End all tax deductions or tax credits and use a sales tax to collect taxes so even criminals will pay their taxes. Eliminate the entire IRS which would save $400 billion annually. The FAIR TAX does this. The Congress hates the FAIR TAX because it eliminates their tax loophole kickbacks for bribes. That's why they misinform the public when they call the FAIR TAX regressive.

To refuse to vote for that platform would be stupid and insane. The privileged keep ripping off all the rest of us and the public is in their propaganda trance allowing that to happen. Any person against this plan is sabotaging the OWS protest and needs to be heard. Let's hear any reason to oppose this end globalization screw job. http://overthecoals.blogspot.com/

thank you tax. thank you for being 99 tax revoked if the following occur.

even the drunk guy on the corner gets a cut, heck and those that dont need it can use it in the community as "optional project tax" let the smaller projects call in more cash if voted on . let the smaller projects be stalled if a larger project is warranted by the 99
