...some begin life with two strikes against them while others are born on third base and think they have hit a triple. And while the former may reach home in some instances, and the latter may fail to do so, the probabilities overwhelmingly favor the latter over the former, as any good baseball statistician will verify". What of it?

[-] 1 points by hamalmang (722) from Lebanon, PA 12 years ago

Just thought it was a good metaphor for lack of equal opportunity

People have always had to deal with different playing fields since we were cavemen. Do you think Ug and Crug bemoaned each other because Crug had better lungs and Ug was stronger? No they didn't. They worked with what they had and made the best of it.

They also killed and fucked anything and anyone they wanted. I don't think emulating cavemen would be very intelligent. We don't just evolve biologically we also evolve ideas.

It was the idea behind it. I don't mind that you have an enormous inheritance as long as you keep it out of my face and you keep out of my business.

I don't mind either. I was just pointing out that if you start life on third base don't act like it was you that hit the triple. It is about being grateful for being lucky and not shitting all over the people with the deck stacked against them. Get it?

So what I just said. I get it. However, people only on second base shouldn't whine about their lives.

Yes, and the wiser ones taught Ug and Crug the Golden Rule, love, compassion. "Love thy neighbor as thyself". And eventually human society developed concepts such as social justice, human rights, etc. In fact, our CONSTITUTION is founded on those very values.

But perhaps "kingscrossection" is nostalgic for the STONE AGE, when TROLLS used to roam???? LMAO

The disciples had personality disorders. And Jesus may have lived but his messages were all false. The constitution was written during an incredibly Christian type era and I have no problem with the values but don't tell me that they are perfect and don't quote the damn bible in an argument. I can't really be nostalgic if I've never experienced it but yes things were simpler then.

"The disciples had personality disorders", you write.

Now you've become Dr. Freud!!!! Thanks for the laughs - just what I needed!!!

[-] 1 points by kingscrossection (1203) 12 years ago

Never claimed to be Freud at all actually

Now don't go spoiling my fun, SIGMUND! You are ONE-MAN RIOT (no pun intended).

The other sentence, "Jesus may have lived but his messages were all false" is also quite the pearl of unwisdom... I must make room for it in my "Compendium of Trollosophy".

I watched a game on TV once. TV camera kept going to a young couple. He would kiss her on the strikes and she would kiss him on the balls.
