Forum Post: Are productive posts getting drowned out by Trojan Horses?

Posted 12 years ago on Oct. 11, 2011, 4:17 p.m. EST by glenn1984 (57)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

How many posters do you think are here to create personal fights and confusion? These are the posts that trickle up to the top drowning out the constructive comments.

Let's not get pulled into these useless quibbles. STOP responding to their baiting, and let's focus on the issues at hand. Face it ... you can't convince them all ... and you don't need too.

Very true. The angry posts are making up to the top and useful ones are not being commented on. Keep it positive.

yes i agree that alot of posts on here are counterproductive but shouldn't we weed out the crappy ideas?

[-] 1 points by Democracydriven (658) 12 years ago

Excellent post, When I post on Yahoo news articles sometime it is as if somebody pushes a button and a whole army of idiots comes on simply for the distraction factor. And it works.

I agree don't be drawn into wasting your energy with insincere shills

I think so. Its been really bad today.

Your point is valid, though I'd hope ALL of the 99% were with us. But much like the American Revolution not everyone was with it.

oh, you're talking about the trolls. Trolls will always be apart of online forums glenn.

[-] 1 points by glenn1984 (57) 12 years ago

Isn't there a way to bump trolled posts lower on the hierarchy (still freedom of speech, but off the first page). We waste so much time going in and out of their posts.

[-] 1 points by Democracydriven (658) 12 years ago

The trolls do tend to go away when they don't get attention or an audience.

[-] 1 points by glenn1984 (57) 12 years ago

But I wonder if these trolls have a purpose in mind ... to distract and divide ...

just a thought ... if they are so hard working (from what I read) when do they find the time to "troll around"

[-] 1 points by Democracydriven (658) 12 years ago

I think there all kinds of reasons, often times entertainment, attention, to irritate, some sincere disagreement, change opinion.

They say they are hardworking, I doubt that. The bottom line is that the only contribution they make is to freedom is to serve as an example of "what not to be"
