Forum Post: Another Paul Sticks His Foot In It.

This content is user submitted and not an official statement

In a response to Ashley Judd testing the political waters, Mr. P Jr. demonstrated his lack of knowledge about working conditions in his own State.

I guess coal funded his election, so he can see no further.

This would mark him as dumber that daddy.

Go Ashley! She's one very intelligent lady. Rand is nothing like his father he's one of the spoiled neocons that seems to lack diplomacy, class and character. I wonder what his father thinks of him? For Rand to respond as he did, not only shows how tacky and immature he is but it also shows that he feels threatened.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I agree on Ashley and highly disagree on the Pauls.

They are both dyed in the wool libe(R)tarians, closely related to the Ayn Rand variety, and they just play at being Republicans. Making them both pretty tacky.

[-] 1 points by Gillian (1842) 11 years ago

I can understand why you feel that way. But, I agree with a lot of what Ron Paul has to say vs Rand. Ron Paul would never speak of Ashley the way that his son did- he's much more professional and respectful than that. It's probably his age and generation that makes him that way.

Excellent. Coal mining w/ Mountaintop removal is not only tragic for kentucky environment, but requires a fraction ofthe workers needed with traditional mining.

Coal employs very few workers these days. Kentuckians must be educated about that.

R Paul is an extremist moron, extremely!

Thx

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I thought it funny that coal is way down the list these days, leaving Jr's. remarks in the twilight zone of the uninformed.............Classic libe(R)tarian/GOP bullshit.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

The industry is small. but the coal owners are powerful in his state. This is why he was confused

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

LOL.........he's confused because he's just one more ignorant, libe(R)tarian, Ayn Rand lover.

There's no way around that simple truth. It's in his name.

Daddy saw to that.

Extremist right wing wackos.

They make me sick!

June 15, 2010 Is Tea Party politician Rand Paul really a doctor?

Libertarian Rand Paul, the eye doctor turned Republican Senate candidate in Kentucky, may not be a "board-certified" ophthalmologist, as he reportedly claimed. Paul's certification comes from a board he incorporated and heads, but he hasn't been certified by an organization recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties for five years. When reporters asked Paul to explain, he said, "What does this have to do with our election?" He subsequently released a statement saying he had a certification from the main medical board until 2005, but let it lapse to protest a decision to make doctors get recertified every 10 years. Will the confusion hurt Paul's candidacy? (Watch Rand Paul — dressed in scrubs — discuss health care last year)

This qualification cover-up is a question of trust: Politicians should know by now that dodging questions "is a bad idea," says Joseph Gerth at the Louisville Courier-Journal, because it appears they're hiding something. Paul has a point when he says the issue has nothing to do with his policies. But this is an issue of "trust" — if Paul isn't straight with patients about his certification as a doctor, can his potential constituents expect him to treat them any better? "Rand Paul creates mistrust by refusing to answer questions about ophthalmology certification"

Paul's enemies are inflating "phony" issues to defeat him: The "hooing and hawing" over this comes from the same old group of Rand Paul haters, says Nick Gillespie at Reason. "Yellow Dog Democrats" mostly, but also GOPers mad at Paul for beating their rubber-stamped candidate. An earlier "phony flap" over Paul's views on desegregation was bad enough, but it's becoming increasingly evident that plenty of people in Kentucky will do anything to sink Paul's campaign. "Looking through Rand Paul's eye doctor certification"

Paul says he was just living his libertarian principles — ha! Paul's "secession" from the established medical board squares nicely with his libertarian belief that no bureaucracy should be able to tell him what to do, says Alex Pareene in Salon. He's "obviously well within his rights to get mad," "write cranky letters," even establish his own rival board. But he can't expect a pass when he claims he was certified by the nationally recognized board, even though he wasn't. "Dr. Rand Paul's crusade against board certification"

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I think we can agree, there is little about either of the Paul's that is honest.

Very little.

Another fossil fuel shill? or just sadly confused? BOTH ???

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

In this case, one name describes it all.

Ayn Rand.

Daddy named him for her. It doesn't get any sadder than that.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

That is a truly sick thing to do to a child.

( poor bastard never had a chance )

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

If he's guilty, I'm sure the courts will handle it.

On the other hand, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with Jr's. lack of knowledge about his own adopted State.

And gosh 'a' rootie, the MSM hasn't mentioned a word about this louts stupid uninformed comment.

It should be all over FLAKESnews by now, if only they actually were "fair and balanced".

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Brown soft and stinky coal trying to display a shiny object ( distraction ) to shift the conversation on the post?

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

It's a foolish deflection.

An attempt to ignore the truth about the Pauls and libe(R)tarians in general.

It's OK, I'm used to it and it did nothing to disprove what Jr. is on record as saying.

Proving Jr's ignorance about his adopted State.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

It is not ignorance if it is an intentional misstatement to try to color a conversation to a certain view point of support. I think calling him ignorant may be an injustice to his intent of trying to bolster support for a poisonous industry from an uninformed populace. I think it likely that it was willful misinformation/propaganda.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Perhaps he's hinting that Jr is a secret pedophile?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

AHhhhh - clever - maybe he was just trying to be roundabout in making a connection he was not sure of. HUH.

[-] -3 points by lignite (-303) 11 years ago

Fox news is fair and balanced and it is the number one cable media news outlet for over 15 years, kind of hard to beat that.
