Anaheim: Are Police Using Plants to Incite Trouble with Protesters?

Who is behind the Plants to Incite Inaction Here??

Are Police or RepubliCons Using Plants to Discourage Real Political Action on this Board??

Plenty of Zombies, Plenty of Trolls, Plenty of Unbelievably Naive and/or Dense Bubbleheads!! Agents Provocateurs??

Is OWS Forum Infected with PLANTS???

I VOTE Yes!

Anaheim's become the latest hot spot for police violence--for those who haven't been following, police recently shot two men, 25-year-old Manuel Diaz and 21-year-old Joel Acevedo, and protests sprang up--protests that have been greeted with ever-increasing police force, teargas, rubber bullets, and dogs.

Today, Gustavo Arellano at the OC Weekly reports that there's now evidence of a possible police agent provocateur, a woman spotted at first defending police and showing off what she claimed was a police badge tattoo, and then later caught shouting at police and throwing a water bottle. (Since throwing bottles was what originally led the police to sic dogs and shoot rubber bullets into a crowd of women and children, that's sort of important to note.)

Witnesses tell the Weekly she was parading in front of the police line outside of City Hall, saying "These are good cops. You don't know the hard work they do. They're getting rid of gangsters."

Afterward, though, onlookers claim she began throwing bottles later that night. Multiple people saw her, and there's apparently video of the same woman playing the part of anarchist.

No one at the scene knew who this woman was.

"Prior to our friend...exposing her as a cop in front of national cameras, she was inciting a group of Anaheim protesters by throwing a water bottle and chanting aggressive orders pretending to be a protester," someone wrote on Facebook. "Had others followed her lead, and had [members of Kelly's Army] not called her out and kept the peace, 20 cops in riot gear would have been unleashed on the crowd. She had her badge # tattooed on her wrist.. Not only is she a provocateur she has really shitty taste in tats."

According to Arellano, this wouldn't be the first time the police have used agents provocateurs. In 2006, they copped to doing just that during a protest.

There's video of the woman at their site, apparently playing both sides.

Or use this as a rookie training ground. Where else???

I believe we have saboteurs, agent provocateurs.

I also believe this whole bubbleheaded, OWS=Anarchy Not Political Action thing is part of it. Plants inciting infighting and inaction leading into an important election. Reports are out that NY "law enforcement" is monitoring protestors in new ways: http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/07/25/us-newyork-occupy-report-idUSBRE86O1PA20120725

"They" want to continue what happened in WI, and repeat 2010!!

What surprises me is that some of the regulars who seemed merely naive, misinformed or bubbleheads most probably are plants.

I feel a lot of productivity and progress and action was squandered by their sabotage, and it continues.

America! Boycott Chic fil A and the RepubliCon Cults!!

Get Out the VOTE!!!

Since this is all pretty new, especially for "them," and very anonymous, sophistication or effort wouldn't be very important. Who would oversee? Disrupting is easy.

At any rate, we have an election in about 90 days. More money has been and is being spent on this election... EVER! If they can repeat 2000, 2010, 2012 (WI), we will look back on Bush-Cheney years fondly.

We need to tell and get everybody to register and VOTE!

Those of us who have been watching, see the RW emboldened by the public's indifference to increasingly audacious and blatant fascist actions. Should RepubliCons manage to steal the WH and Congress, they will see a mandate to escalate the Shock Doctrine they are trying to keep covert.

That's an important course of events that we can avoid by VOTING!!!

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

I vote yes as well. police/repubs have infiltrated this site, the movement, and have incited/entrapped violence in young people who were easily led.

We can't be naive about it. But stay strong.

Look at this bearclaw dumbass POS, he thinks he's really shaking things up like never before.

Get out the Vote! They can't sell plutocracy, but they can steal districts.

The downturn of the economy was originally created by "slick willie" but you dumb dems and libs cannot see that

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Middle class income started going up as a result of Pres Clintons policies. He also left you spend crazy republicans a budget surplus that the repubs blew up with illegal oil wars and tax breaks to the rich.

Pres Clintons mistake was signing the conservative repeal of Glass Steagal.

-So we gotta fix that conservative policy disaster,

-Take our money back from the wealthy (90% taxrate on income over $1 million),

-End the illegal/unnecessary wars, cut the military budget 50%,

-Cut taxes/debt for working/middle class,

-Remove money fr politics (publicly funded campaigns)

That'll do it. It's the only way.

[-] -2 points by bearclaw (-152) 11 years ago

The politicians "both sides" will not do anything to correct the economy. They may throw more stimulus at it, only to make it worse. We are headed towards a "Greece style" downturn and it is going to be ugly. It is going to be a lot worse compared to 2008

[-] 3 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

If we implement republican/conservative tinkle down theory, and cutting spending (firing govt workers) we WILL have a greece stype collapse without a doubt.

Austerity only made Europes recession worse. Our stimulus (watered down by your republicans) started our recovery (weakened by your republicans filibuster, obstruction, defeat of dem jobs plans).

more stimulus without a doubt will help. Hire back the govt workers republicans fired. Pass the jobs bills. Follow the plan I listed above and all will be fine.

It's the only way.

[-] -2 points by bearclaw (-152) 11 years ago

You have to admit that Obama did make some terrible mistakes, on his term. Green energy for the most part was a disaster along with cash for clunkers

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Green energy is the future. The republican obstruction is only delaying the inevitable and allowing our economic adversaries (China, Germany) to get a jump on us.

We MUST stop subsidizing old 19TH century tech (fossil fuel) and start investing in 21st century greentech industry/jobs

Cash for clunkers should be done again!. It helped the American auto industry and got high pollution vehicles off the road.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yes - Clean Green Energy is the future - if we ( humanity ) are to have a future.

We have the technology NOW - to implement - NOW.

Stand-up Speak-up for your Rights People.

Gd morning Dk. Can always count on you to have the right position.

This Bearclaw doesn't appear to be a supporter of the 99%. He is giving me only right wing talking points, so no hope for a conversion or valuable debate.

Mornin - Keep-on Keeping-on.

The pastry worshiper and those like him have a gr8 tendency to display wrong thinking ( corpoRATist misdirection misinformation spin lies ) for others to see and consider. It is a gr8 opportunity to display correct thinking and good values. {:-])

(I do enjoy a bearclaw w/ black coffee now & then, but I may never look at them quite the same way again.)

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

LOL - sorry.

[-] -2 points by bearclaw (-152) 11 years ago

Do some research on green energy and look how many of them went bankrupt and stuck it to us taxpayers (under the Obama admin) Cash for clunkers was also a disaster and cost taxpayers around 4,000.00 per vehicle. Another disaster was the GM bailout and they still owe the taxpayers around 25 billion that we will probably never see. All the while GM is building a mega plant in China. A while back GM claimed to have repaid the taxpayers some of the money borrowed but they took that money out of an escrow account that the Gov set up for them in case of an emergency. If big organizations like that stumble then let them fall and fix themselves. Just like USPS, two days ago they defaulted (for the first time ever) on paying the debt owed for their retirees health benefits.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

USPS defaulted because of the union busting republican law that created an unreasonable requirement to pay in advance $5.5Billion in pension costs.

We love the post office. Lotsa decent jobs for good honest Americans.

Green tech is the future! The bankruptcies are related to the republican created great recession not the validity of the tech/business. The repubs should have created the subsidies for the future greentech insutry like our adversaries have done.

Then the industry would take off. And we could buy American instead of Chinese green tech. You working for the chinese?

Gm is doing great. We will of course get the money back. Cash for clunkers made money by creating sales for the great American auto industry. You workin for the japanese auto industry?

Be an American! Support your fellow Americans.

Traitorous republican?

[-] -1 points by bearclaw (-152) 11 years ago

I suppose you like Obama's job czar Jeffrey Immelt also??? Who himself has moved and continues to move GE jobs to China. Isn't the Obama admin the best ever???? hahaha As far as the unions go they are going by the way of the dinosaur and are themselves job killers. They are the number one reason why outsourcing started in the first place. In the very near future the USPS employees will be wearing a new uniform and it will have the insignia "Fedex" on it

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Your dreamin'!. Unions have been busted by conservative 1% plutocrats. They have been very effective. But in the end the people will rise up again.

The few elitists that you support (against your own interests!) cannot hold power for long without people gettin wise (not all of us! LOL) and changing things.

Support your fellow 99%. Elect Progressives. Vote out anti union politicians

[-] -1 points by bearclaw (-152) 11 years ago

I noticed you did not say anything about Jeffrey Immelt

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Who cares about Immelt. Jobs? We got jobs bills that your republicans have held up. We got an infrastructure bank to create jobs. We got greentech bills that will create millions more.

Jobs? Easy! Just cut working/middle class taxes/debt. That will create consumer demand and make the so called "job creators" get off their greedy, selfish, unamerican asses.

Support your fellow 99%. Elect progressives, Vote out anti Buffet rule, pro Norquist politicians

Great post, thanks.

Hope you're not one.

[-] 1 points by nomdeguerre (1775) from Brooklyn, NY 11 years ago

Hope you're not one. LOL.

Yeahhh. Maybe you're a plant and just trying to draw out who's on to the presence of cop plants. Yeah, that's the ticket! "rpc", remember that name, that dirty plant!

Seriously, NYCGA should have spent some of their money on investigating possible plants in Zuccotti. I have no doubt that some of the actions that smeared OWS's reputation were carried out by undercover cops. Proof would have been worth a million dollars.

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

There have been reports about cop monitoring in NY.

[-] 1 points by fiftyfourforty (1077) from New York, NY 11 years ago

If they look for dna samples on a chain that was used in a subway protest (and they do)(non violent) you can bet they read this forum.

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

The whole ROBOCOP "presentation" is outrageous. Why are they acting like American protestors exercising our obligated rights are armed and dangerous terrorists? And they seem to put the most JACKED-UP cops on the front line. DNA!!! They don't even take fingerprints for auto theft!

Reading is expected, inciting trouble is something else!!

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Outlandish

[-] 0 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

Because there are certainly going to be plants, it's important to unify with the police. They are part of the 99% and we need them to participate in our protests, helping us to discover and uncover the plants.

[-] 1 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Really? Can you elaborate?

The cops I've seen on protest lines seem like tweekers just itching to use some of that weaponry they carry!!

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

Some of them are. We must expect police to keep law and order, but we are protesting and bringing grievances to our government. The policemen should see us as their friends and neighbors, not a mob of troublemakers.

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

I suppose we have the violent and destructive actions of recent previous protests to thank. But if they are spying on us and gathering intelligence, they should know riot gear is not needed! And just sets a totally wrong tone.

But on our side, we can abolish all hostility and confrontation, and display tons of American Flags and clear Class War signs!!

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

We should show that their use of riot gear is incredibly ridiculus because there is no threat and other policemen are protesting with us!

The most moving protest I've seen was when the President of the college in California, (after police pepper sprayed students sitting in a row), walked past the students and there was complete silence.

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Like the flower in the rifle barrel.

Past riots in Seattle has given them lots of license to exploit.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

The flower in the rifle barrel may be the perfect picture for the direction we want to go. Riots, destruction, and violence would allow them to brand us as troublemakers.

I would like to see or participate in a protest with everyone holding a sign that said....LOVE.

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

How about "99%" and American Flags??

But now they should all include "GET OUT THE VOTE!"

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

Why just "GET OUT THE VOTE"? Which of the two lessor evils is going to win? We know the result will be more of the same.

I'm calling for millions of people to vote...and write in...LOVE!

If millions did... it would not be a wasted vote.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Write in a viable third candidate but do not throw your vote away by writing some unelectable non-sense. Vote against Mittens no way in hell should he be allowed near the white house. So either vote Obummer or unite under a third candidate - opting out is no kind of answer - it didn't work in the 60's when people opted out in protest of the Vietnam war and nothing has changed to make opting out a positive thing to do in all the time since then - it has just made it easier for the electorate to be controlled.

[-] 1 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Third parties are currently UN-viable and UN-electable and are a Vote for the RepubliCon Cult!! We have to get Instant Runoff Elections to make third parties viable. But Cons will fight to the death to block IREs because multiple party elections can't be stolen, and Cons can't sell plutocracy.

Let's have multiple parties: Vote out the Cons!!

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yep - we have to get rid of the corpoRATist's that are in office. Then we need to continue to take part in the process of government.

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Good point, whenever we succeed it's not a time to relax, as some wronly did after 2008. That's when the work really begins.

Now our work is to get the dirty Cons out of office, and prevent more from invading!

Get out the VOTE!!

http://www.gottavote.org/en/?choose-state=true

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

It would not be an opt out if enough people finally accepted that the results after whoever wins the election would be more of the same.

Imagine election night when as usual states turn in their votes for which lessor evil will give us more of the same, but millions voted for...LOVE!

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

what direction would be taken from writing in LOVE ?

I'm writing in NO WAR

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

I'm aware of your, NO WAR, idea and it's hard to top that.

LOVE does.

The direction would be something absolutely beautiful!

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Spoken like a true RepubliCon Shill!

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

RW, LW, Dems, repubs, liberal, conservative, I'm done with that game!

If I were still in that game, I would vote for Obama again and not only prevent the horrors of the repubs, but be for the good ideas and supreme court nominees, etc.

To realize that we have an establishment party with two wings makes me unwilling to vote for the lessor evil.

It's time for a write in...but not a Perot or any person...write in LOVE!

[-] 1 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Spoken like a good troll!!

Get out the VOTE!!

Silence "can" be deafening. What a situation - what moment. If that cop had any sort of humanity - he must have felt lower than dirt at that point.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

There was also no debate on what was right or wrong! It was wrong and everyone knew it, with no one daring to recommend those actions again.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

It is a moment that will live in history - I wonder how angry and defensive that cop has become since that day or if it had a different effect on his psyche and he is now questioning himself his actions and the orders he has been given to "follow".

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 11 years ago

The concept of police questioning their orders cannot happen. They understand the importance of their own form of solidarity and the discipline required that insures their personal safety.

When they see protesters as friends and family members, they will respond in helpful ways.

[-] 0 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

The police are caught between the people and the corrupt establishment. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes, especially if it meant losing their job to do the right thing.

Plus there is the element within Occupy that purposely forces unnecessary confrontations that completely goes against the idea of non violent resistance and borders on terrorism.

[-] 0 points by rpc972 (628) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

I'm in complete agreement on the specific issues you mention, rotten job for cops and idiotic protestors. I believe we have saboteurs, agent provocateurs. But the whole ROBOCOP "presentation" is outrageous. Why are they acting like American protestors exercising our obligated rights are armed and dangerous terrorists? And they seem to put the most JACKED-UP cops on the front line. Local Business Groups and Committees are the primary donors and backers of PDs all over, and the Seattle WTO protests made great propaganda for already established RW tendencies [Another Example of IMAGE IS EVERYTHING!!!]. But these cops should be on our side, unarmed and wearing sleeves. Not ready for War!

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

I can't think of a more logical way for a ruling group to increase it's police authority. Instigate violent protest, increase police power to crush it, while gaining the support of the people in this war against these rebels and hoodlums.

Black bloc and other groups using a "diversity of tactics" which include property destruction and planned confrontation have stalled and setback Occupy's momentum. I would not be surprised if they were supported by the very groups they claim to oppose.

[-] -1 points by bearclaw (-152) 11 years ago

From what see on the news, etc that some protesters get out of hand and start throwing objects at officers. Our Country's economy is steadily worsening and there is going to be even more protest / violence coming our way. I did hear of a web site devoted to some police officers, firemen, etc that are going to join ranks with the citizens rather than holding them off at barricades etc, when the economy does bust loose someday.
