It has got to be said,Damn the Torpedoes.#OWS is NOT affiliated with the Democratic Party! Never has been! Never will be! #OWS is not affiliated with the Republican,Green or Libertarian Parties! #OWS is an alliance of people who think for themselves! WE DO NOT OPPOSE OR ENDORSE VOTING! That is a matter for people to decide 4 THEMSELVES! #OWS is affiliated with NO PARTY! Don't like it-OH,WELL!

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 9 years ago

damn! you keep hitting that nail square! i wonder if it hurts the nail. nah they have very hard heads

[-] 1 points by turbocharger (1756) 9 years ago

haha exactly

[-] 1 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

No argument there. I'm not affiliated either. I just believe in voting.

[-] 0 points by flip (7101) 9 years ago

you do realize that nobody here would tell you not to vote (i don't think so anyway). do what your gut tells you. but you have to rant at those who do not think that voting (except in certain cases) will make the change we need. we are here at ows supposedly because we believe in mostly the same thing. so we have to be more tolerant. seems to me that your stance is not a compromising one. we are not telling you not to vote - you are telling us we all must vote - that is what it seems like anyway. i had arguments in the park with women tabling for the democrats - they understood my position and were respectful. i will respect your position on voting if you will respect mine! truce?

[-] -1 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

Alright. By the way, I've been re-reading some old pages. You and I used to get along pretty well.

Truce.

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 9 years ago

Nice. And I see no reason why we shouldn't again. I think I told you my is a very low level dem party official. We have the same debate. She still likes me - so far

[-] 3 points by turbocharger (1756) 9 years ago

heres the news after your heroic decision- the fire hose is actually a gas pump, and while you thought you were doing the right things, you were actually fucking us all over.

Everyone else is standing on the side of the road yelling to let it burn down already, and there you are, spilling the gas, thinking its water.

Morons abound. Congrats, history shows us you are just one of millions of loyalists of empires from the past.

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 9 years ago

that seemed like a very straight answer to me. given back in the same form as it came. what is hard to understand? do you think some of these guys are really stupid or just pretending to be?

[-] 1 points by turbocharger (1756) 9 years ago

Eh, hard to say, theres a lot of brainwashing the last 100 years lol...

[-] 0 points by flip (7101) 9 years ago

very true

[-] 1 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

As expected. No straight answer. Just more dancing.

This is no surprise considering you're the pathetic loser who just implied physical threats from the security of your terminal which in all likelihood is hundreds of miles away.

Truly pathetic. Next, you'll threaten to not like me anymore unless I shut up about Russell Brand.

Update: I see I hit a nerve. Another 5 points gone within a matter of minutes.

Next.

[-] 1 points by turbocharger (1756) 9 years ago

If I wanted to threaten you I wouldn't dance around it, right? You are right, this is just the internet.

If people aren't even willing to put their names out there, then forget about getting change. Everyone knows who Justine is, most everyone knows who I am, so whats your problem?

FYI I am still a tenant. Not happy about it, but thats just how it is. Thought I would have accomplished a bit more in my life by the time I was 34, but whatev. I do run some marketing for landlords though. I'm sure you will find that is unacceptable as well, as you type on your computer like a nut all day.

[-] 0 points by flip (7101) 9 years ago

ouch

[-] -1 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

I find nothing unacceptable about being a landlord or tenant or working for a landlord. Nothing at all. My problem is with obscene charges, obscene profits, and extreme personal wealth.

I only made the points because you're one of a half dozen IDs who have been ripping on me simply for being a modest capitalist who votes.

Update: Marked down already. It doesn't matter what I post anymore.

Mark mark mark!

[-] 3 points by turbocharger (1756) 9 years ago

The thing I find amusing with most people of political mindset is their differentiating between socialism and capitalism on the micro level (not saying that this applies to you).

For instance, if you grow up doing construction such as I did, and you eventually start your own thing by flyering neighborhoods in the fuckin snow like I did, while going to community college and taking the bus in the snow, then walking home from downtown through the ghetto every night (then people wonder why I was always high lol)... You do all of that, it eventually starts to pay off after 12 years of living like an animal... And then you are, as someone at Home Depot called me the other day, jokingly... A Crazed Capitalist.

But here is the thing. If this country was a socialist one, Id still be doing the same thing. It just depends on how much money the gov takes from me (we should be living in a socialist paradise with the amount we are all taxed) and then what do they do with it (more war anyone?)..

Either way, someone like me is a builder. Constantly working and building things. No system is going to change that unless you move to state sponsored communism, and even then, people like me will find a way to start building something, because we just simply arent happy not doing it, we are programmed like that.

[-] 2 points by flip (7101) 9 years ago

i have plenty of friends in sweden - have been there a lot. you would be surprised at how many ways the government gives money back to is citizens. if we did that there would be no ows

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 9 years ago

Wake up the loved ones. Get them first and then the irreplaceable photographs out of the house. Videorecord the burning for posterity. If available, hand each loved one a big fluffy marshmallow on a stick and have the roasting party recorded.

[-] 1 points by grapes (5232) 9 years ago

"Two countries. One Party." was the U.S. response to China's "One country. Two systems." Here is where we are, as predicted: It’s official: America is now No. 2. Hmmm, Bering Strait will become the new Gibraltar of the Dragon-choking-on-Pearl Century.

  • I would take corrective action by extinguishing the Fire with the fire hose. Then I would have my insurance agent cut me a check for repairs and the purchase of new furniture.

  • You would VOTE for the Fire while it's burning your house down.

Gee what a shock. DNCheadquarters has responded AGAIN just one minute after signing off with his alias spinoza34 just one minute after signing off as DNCheadquarters.

Evidently, this moron actually expects me to believe that two separate users with identical 'don't vote' views, near identical criticism of Democrats, identical attacks on me, support for each other, and IDs created just days apart this mid-term election year of 2014 are both onsite at the same time late at night dancing their way around the same OWS entry posted by a user who just happens to have lost nearly 400 points just within the last four days after a long run of positive reception here.

Astonishing.

[-] 1 points by DNCheadquarters (69) 9 years ago

SMC, how many multiple ID's do you have? Looks like your sock draw is empty.

Everytime one of your comments gets voted down, one of your socks miraculously votes it back up.

Care to explain that Sock man? Obviously you're not 'modest' when it comes to using Sock Puppets.

OK Sock man let's hear it.

[-] 0 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

And again with DNCheadquarters. Still no PM from either ID as challenged.

Full disclosure (again): I have repeatedly volunteered the fact that I have two IDs. One of which I created specifically to complain about my personal experience with corruption in healthcare. Corruption which almost killed my step-dad.

In spite of the fact that I have volunteered that fact in the interest of full disclosure, I have just been accused of using that ID to mark my own comments up immediately after they are marked down. If that allegation were true, it would make the fact that I have LOST nearly 400 points just within the last four days even more astonishing.

Newsflash. There are still a few core users here who appreciate my efforts.

Duh.

[-] 1 points by DNCheadquarters (69) 9 years ago

It is a possibility you're voting yourself down. You could be using this tactic as a DNC ploy to create a fake forum scandal. In the process you are falsely accusing us true occupiers, and discrediting the integrity of this forum.

Nice little 'Capitalist' witch hunt you've got going here SMC. You accuse loyal occupiers with phoney allegations that YOU created! At the same time you're telling everybody to vote demoCRAP. What's your engineered message here SMC? That Occupiers are bad, and the demoCRAPs are good?

How does it feel to be a turncoat infiltrator SMC?

[-] 0 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

You just accused me of marking my own comments back up immediately after they get marked down moron. Many of which have been marked down well into negative territory. At the very least, 5 IDs are involved. Probably 6-8 unless my supporters suddenly stopped cold.

Meanwhile, your own comments remain 'best' rated every single day making them in all likelihood, the most read by occasional visitors. Again, several IDs must be involved.

This puts the rest of us at an obvious disadvantage.

So do the math and get your multiple ID stories straight. After all, you wouldn't want to break your pattern of being incredibly obvious.

Your flat-out lie cover theory is absurd.

[-] 2 points by DNCheadquarters (69) 9 years ago

SMC, of course you have to mark your recent comments up. This way you try to give the illusion to others that you have supporters here. Which you don't.

You elaborate the scam further by creating false dynamics using your socks. Then later when no one is watching, you deploy your army of socks to vote yourself down. Thus engineering the excuse for your phoney witchhunt.

In your reenactment, it is the Big Bad Occupiers abusing the poor innocent Capitalist. What a switch on reality, right?

[-] 0 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

Read it again moron liar poser fiscal conservative. Use a calculator if necessary.

Then check my older pages. I type the truth.

[-] 1 points by spinoza34 (400) 9 years ago

I could care less what you believe. And just for the record I would tell anyone who wanted to vote to do so.

But then I would go on to tell him not to try and make Occupy an arm of one of the political parties, or attempt to convince people here that it is already is

As an Occupier, you should respect that. Err...you ARE right? And you do, don't you?

[-] 0 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

DNCheadquarters has responded with the old two step. That's another pathetic dance down. Four more to go.

And of course, yet another utter failure to comprehend plain English.

The English I refer to:

Please forgive me for supporting 'the system' spinoza34, DNCheadquarters, SerfingUSA, flip, shule, and turbocharger but I do see one choice as a bit less costly.

I would put out the fire and ruin the new furniture.

Update: Another 8 points. That makes over 15 more lost so far this evening.

Like I have been saying. My critics are using multiple IDs in order to keep their own comments 'best' rated while marking down any opposition into negative territory. I was singled out for relentless stalking and markdown the very day I started ripping on Russell Brand for his utter wealth concentrating hypocrisy and his 'don't vote' campaign, which again, has been directed at non-conservatives thereby giving Republicans an edge on election day.

[-] 0 points by spinoza34 (400) 9 years ago

I notice that the list of people who you regard as "masquerading liberals" is getting longer, and they seem kinda Occupyish to me. Dang I forgot, I'm on your list too!

[-] 1 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

Gee what a shock. Spinoza34 has responded with no answer just one minute after signing off with his alias DNCheadquarters. Evidently, this moron simply will not learn to space out his multiple ID activities. Not even after being called out for it.

Astonishing.

Anyway, that's three pathetic dances down. Three more to go.

[-] -1 points by spinoza34 (400) 9 years ago

No, I have not signed off, but I may soon. I like that...that you think I am DNC.... , and think that I have multiple ID's.

I don't expect for you to answer my questions, and I will not answer yours.

[-] 0 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

Then both of you PM me in 90 seconds. BOTH of you.

Then answer immediately when I reply.

Update: Thats what I thought.

[-] 0 points by spinoza34 (400) 9 years ago

Once again, I do not respond to your directives or answer your questions. And I do not care what you think or imagine.

[-] 0 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

And again with spinoza34. Still no PM from either ID.

[-] 1 points by spinoza34 (400) 9 years ago

I'm going off for now, but before I do, I'll give you a boost.

MAKE SURE TO VOTE - for one of the two parties who have screwed us for a long time! ........OK?

[-] 0 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

Don't forget the Green Party. Same system. Same process.

Bye DNC (Democratic National Committee) headquarters.

You too SerfingUSA.

You fiscal conservative you.

Don't forget to kiss your life-size Russell Brand poster goodnight.

[-] 0 points by StillModestCapitalist (343) 9 years ago

Turbocharger has responded with no answer.

That's one pathetic dance down. Five more to go.

By the way, turbocharger claims to be Jeremy Griffin of Tampa Florida. He volunteered this along with a phone number in a desperate attempt to intimidate me. So I did a quick check. Turns out there is a Jeffery 'Jeremy' Griffin of Tampa Florida.

He is the son of a wealthy Republican organizer.

There is also a Jeremy Daniel Griffin. Reportedly a member of the Green Party, which of course, would still be utter hypocrisy on his part because Green Party candidates seek 'votes' for office just like Democrat and Republican candidates. Not to mention the job descriptions of every political office under the son. That's right. Green Party candidates, like those from every political party major, minor, and obscure hope to rule from and within the very same 'system' which I am supposedly evil for supporting with my reluctant votes.

Jeremy Daniel Griffin is also reportedly a landlord or tenant, which of course, makes him a capitalist either way. In fact, landlords are known far and wide for complaining about government regulations. That's right. Conservative ideology. If Jeremy Daniel Griffin is a landlord, then he epitomizes it. If he is a tenant, then he supports it.

Yup. Transparency can be pretty transparent sometimes.
