Overall a good piece. They even gave the communist his shot at free speech. The main thing I liked was that it showed people from all walks of life, and showed that while not everyone agreed on everything, they did agree that Corruption and Greed in Government and business needs to be stopped. Another good point made was that this is not a popular movement in support of a leader or group of leaders, the protesters are from all over the political map and they are here supporting not a leader but an ideal. I am going to twitter this the same as I twittered the Inside Job - Documentary post.

There were laws passed in 1999 that allowed for the derivatives that AIG was selling. There was also law passed in 2005 that gives derivative bet outcomes priority in a bankruptcy. You need to understand that no laws were broken at AIG. laws were written in the past 12 years to make that AIG mess possible. here's a link bout a woman who saw the risks and fought to stop it in 1999 but lost the fight http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooksley_Born here's a link bout that derivatives law http://syntheticassets.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/the-no-derivative-left-behind-act-of-2005-1-5/
